President Donald Trump sat down with Fox News’s Laura Ingraham, and the conversation eventually turned to the government shutdown.
While a portion of the Democrats have finally decided that it’s worth their time to reopen the government and get back to work for the people, some of the more extremist leftists are threatening to challenge those who crossed the line. Then there’s Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who voted “No” on reopening the government but is still being targeted by the likes of Progressive Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA).
Khanna said that Schumer should be “replaced” because he is “no longer effective” at keeping the Democrat caucus together. Apparently, he wasn’t persuasive enough to convince his peers that they should continue harming the most vulnerable Americans, who are dependent on a functioning government to survive, in order to have their political needs met.

Trump reacted to the backlash against Schumer, mocking him for being “broken” by Republicans.

“I think he made a mistake in going too far,” Trump said of Schumer.
“Going too far, how?” Ingraham pressed.
“He just went too far. He thought he could break the Republicans, and the Republicans broke him, but he did think that. We have good policy, and they have bad policy. They have something, I don’t know if it’s Trump derangement or they’re just crazed, they’re like crazed lunatics. We have just great policy. We have good people; they have some good people, too. I know a lot of Democrats; they are not all crazy. But you have some that are absolutely terrible. I look at this Crockett, a very low IQ person, and I look at somebody that comes from Somalia, who- where they don’t have anything. They don’t have police, they don’t have military, anything. All they have is crime, and she comes in and tells us how to run our country. ‘The Constitution says this. The Constitution’ — the whole thing is crazy.
“I feel badly because I know Chuck Schumer. I knew him when he was a person who loved Israel, and now he is a Palestinian. He has become a Palestinian. It’s amazing. I have never seen a politician change so much. He was a talented guy; he has lost his talent.”
