Amy Coney Barrett’s home targeted in yet another reckless ‘swatting’ incident

Local police have confirmed that Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s Virginia home was targeted in a “swatting” incident on Wednesday night.

Fairfax County police received the call from a person identifying themselves as a neighbor who falsely reported the “suspicious noise of gunshots” at Barrett’s suburban residence, through the department’s nonemergency line, shortly after 9 p.m.

A dispatcher told officers that the home belonged to a “high priority resident of the county” and that it may not be authentic.

“Be advised, we have not been able to get an answer on callback to the complainant’s phone number,” the dispatcher says in a recording of the call that has been posted to X.

“Unknown if it’s going to be a swatting situation or not,” the police dispatcher continued, stating that the address “has 24-hour security coverage for a high-priority resident of the county.”

“Yesterday evening at approximately 9:02 p.m., officers responded to a swatting call at the residence of U.S. Supreme Court Justice in Fairfax County,” the police said in a Thursday statement.

“The call was received through the department’s non-emergency line. Officers immediately coordinated with Supreme Court Police personnel assigned to the residence and quickly determined that the report was fictitious. No additional police resources were utilized,” the department continued.

“Swatting” is the term for false reports of potential violence at an address, typically involving a high profile figure, which puts the target in danger of being harmed during a police response. Many have labeled such hoaxes as attempted murder.

“Swatting is an attempt to get an innocent person killed—in this case, a sitting Supreme Court Justice,” Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) said in a Thursday post to X. “The proper response will be putting the offender in prison for many, many years.”

The call is a reminder of the state of heightened danger that conservative figures face in an America where left-wing political violence has become commonplace with elected Democrats and the media constantly stirring the pot.

Conservative Supreme Court justices have been repeatedly singled out by the left which has waged war on them over rulings that Democrats disapprove of, such as the overturning of longtime abortion rights landmark Roe v. Wade and more recently, the rollback of the party’s racial gerrymandering schemes.

In early June 2022, weeks before the abortion ruling came down, a California man was so revved up by the demonization of the nation’s high court conservatives that he traveled cross country on a mission to murder Justice Brett Kavanaugh that got as far as the driveway of a Trump appointee’s Chevy Chase, MD home.

The nation’s highest court is set to enter the final month of its current term with rulings on such contentious issues as birthright citizenship, transgender athletes and gender affirming care yet to come in June, all of which have the potential to drive leftists absolutely berserk.
