Anti-ICE mob turns on Tim Walz, poetic justice arrives

Mob rule made its presence known in Minnesota as a meeting with the Trump administration found Gov. Tim Walz (D) being made into an “example.”

Despite the seething of agitators descending on the Twin Cities to oppose U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the majority of Americans have signaled their support for mass deportations of all illegal aliens. Walz’s decision led to a meeting with other local officials and border czar Tom Homan on Tuesday. He’s still talking tough despite protesters demonstrating that his actions speak louder than his words.

Chants of “ICE Out!” echoed through the halls outside Walz’s office on Tuesday as protesters waved signs calling for “Justice Not Gestures” bearing images of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. The overall impression, as conveyed by Right Line News’ Eric Daugherty, was that the mob was “FURIOUS that he’s starting to cave to President Trump and Tom Homan.”

“LMFAO!” added Daugherty. “That’s how you know he’s losing! Cry harder, ICE WILL CONTINUE. Homan’s taking it from here.”

In a statement provided to NewsNation after the meeting, the governor’s office expressed, “Governor Walz met with Tom Homan this morning and reiterated Minnesota’s priorities: impartial investigations into the Minneapolis shootings involving federal agents, a swift, significant reduction in the number of federal forces in Minnesota, and an end to the campaign of retribution against Minnesota.”

The statement went on to contend there was agreement “on the need for ongoing dialogue” regarding working to those ends.

However, the language from Walz’s office didn’t exactly match the statement from the border czar who took to X to state, “Today I met with Governor Walz, Mayor Frey, and top law enforcement officials to discuss the issues on the ground in Minnesota. We all agree that we need to support our law enforcement officers and get criminals off the streets. While we don’t agree on everything, these meetings were a productive starting point, and I look forward to more conversations with key stakeholders in the days ahead.”

“President Trump has been clear: he wants American cities to be safe and secure for law-abiding residents — and they will be,” added Homan.

Of course, Tuesday’s meeting was only part of the frustration for anti-ICE agitators as local police are getting involved in maintaining order in the state, equipped with riot gear to defend federal law enforcement officers and the hotels they are staying in, which have become preferred targets of violent mobs.

Bucking suggestions that voters weren’t concerned about the lasting presence of illegal aliens in the country, a recent YouGov poll showed net double digits across nearly all demographics that agreed it remained either very or somewhat serious. The outlier remained Democrats at negative 39.

Meanwhile, having allowed sanctuary policies and dangerous rhetoric to foment chaos in Minnesota, Walz earned little more than mockery as the mob turned on him.
