U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) buoyed her anticipated presidential run by demanding a “full and independent investigation” into ICE agents shooting a suspected illegal immigrant gang banger in the Bronx.
What AOC didn’t talk about is that the criminal alien allegedly tried to use his car to ram agents, while his reported 5-year-old son sat in the back seat.
“ICE’s already unwelcome presence in our city has been growing more escalatory and dangerous by the day. Today’s shooting is a grave development that requires a swift and immediate response to protect the safety of all New Yorkers,” Ocasio-Cortez said in a statement.
“First, we must have a full and independent investigation of this incident,” she added, calling for a “full and immediate release of all body camera footage of the incident.”

In furtherance of her socialist open border agenda, the Democrat attacked ICE and cast blame on Target because ICE allegedly uses the retailer’s parking lots to stage operations.
“ICE is a rogue, lawless paramilitary and surveillance agency,” AOC raged. “It does not belong in New York City and it should not exist in the United States of America. Abolish ICE.”
“In addition, the Target Corporation must stop offering their Bronx properties as private staging sites for ICE, in compliance with requests from New York officials,” she said. “Target opening up large, active retail parking lots for paramilitary activity is unacceptable and places the entire community at risk.”
“Target has no cooperative agreements with ICE or any other immigration enforcement agency,” a Target spokesperson told American Wire, noting that a variety of other businesses use the same parking lot.
Fox News reporter Bill Melugin filled in many of the missing details in a post on X, including that the city ignored an ICE detainer and released the suspect after an earlier arrest.

ICE says because he’s a known flight risk, they now have him in detention outside of New York.
DHS Sec. Mullin then blasts NYC Mayor Mamdani for referring to the alien as a “New Yorker”, and for running to the microphones about this, but having nothing to say about the attempted stabbing murder & robbery of a NYPD officer by two Dominican illegal aliens last week.

According to DHS, the criminal alien Democrats are standing up for is from the Dominican Republic and has ties to the Trinitarios gang. He has a grand larceny conviction and arrests for assault, robbery, drugs, and weapons.
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin pushed back on the manufactured outrage from NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Gov. Kathy Hochul over the incident.
