AOC warns of ‘racial terror’ and ‘widespread modern-day lynchings,’ but Dems have one small problem

There is one certainty in an election year, and that’s Democrats whipping up their black base into a state of hysteria over modern-day lynchings, a cynical but predictable ploy to mobilize their voters.

In a letter to Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel, chronic race baiter Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) and nearly 60 other Democrat lawmakers – including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) – demanded that the Justice Department and the FBI launch a “thorough, transparent, and comprehensive federal investigation into the numerous incidents of Black people found hanging across the country.”

“Black folks are being found hanged in America,” Pressley proclaimed. “This is a national crisis and we CANNOT stand by while strange fruit hangs from trees across the country. We’re demanding a federal investigation NOW so we can stop modern-day lynchings.”

The letter referenced a highly dubious report from a civil rights activist organization that alleges “more than 70 modern-day lynchings in the United States between 2000 and 2025” have taken place, although some have noted that the numbers are misleading and that the “lynchings” include suicides and homicides.

AOC proudly touted her participation in a Thursday post to X.

“This year, there have already been 10 reported hangings of Black people in the U.S.,” the socialist diva wrote. “I’m proud to have signed onto @RepPressley‘s letter to address these widespread modern-day lynchings and put a stop to this racial terror.”

AOC was fact-checked by an X user note that pointed out: “Most reported 2026 Black hangings were ruled suicides by police/MEs with no foul play (e.g. Bassinga, Nzita, Jackson). One (Fortune) is a homicide probe pending autopsy, Black POI. None confirmed as lynchings or racial terror,” and provided links to news reports debunking the sensationalist claims of an epidemic of black folks being strung up.

“Inaction by the federal government is tantamount to complicity. This is part of the legacy of racial terror in the United States, and this neglect has long-term consequences,” the letter reads. “Not only are innocent lives lost, but lynching inflicts deep traumatic and psychological wounds on family members, neighbors, and the entire Black community.”

And of course there is the obligatory reference to Emmett Till, the 14-year-old boy who was an actual lynching victim – in 1955 Mississippi.

“Congress enacted the Emmett Till Antilynching Act in 2022 to ensure the DOJ and FBI are empowered to fully investigate suspicious deaths and hold individuals accountable,” the Democrats said. “It is incumbent upon you to do just that.”

X users broke out the firehoses on AOC and her fellow racial arsonists by sharing key details that were conveniently left out of the Democratic lawmakers’ letter.

One prominent conservative influencer pointed out that one of the “lynchings” is just another death by black, a REAL epidemic.

Police in Jackson, Mississippi, arrested Jacques Ratliff – a black man – who was charged with homicide in the death of 29-year-old Tasia Fortune – a black woman – who was found hanging from a tree behind a vacant house in August.

The popular Libs of TikTok account accused the two “Squad” members of trying to foment a race war and shouted out to community notes for foiling them.

“Ayanna Pressley and AOC are trying to start a race war with lies about about black people being hanged,” LOTT wrote. “They were all suicides. Only one is being investigated as a homicide and the person of interest is black. They can’t get away with lying so blatantly anymore thanks to community notes.”

“This letter demands a thorough, transparent, and comprehensive federal investigation into every hanging death of a Black individual across the United States. At a minimum, each investigation, with permission of the decedents’ families, should include an independent autopsy, an audit of local and state law enforcement investigations, review of physical and testimonial evidence, and a final report submitted to Congress explaining the agency’s findings. The letter also calls for robust data collection that tracks the hanging deaths of Black people in a transparent and systematic manner,” the race-baiting Democrats wrote in their demand letter.

Ginning up racial animosity has long been the bread and butter for the Democrats, and they will NEVER give it up.
