The fast food industry took its share of hits during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic as much of the nation locked down and virus-weary Americans have been slow in rebuilding their trust in the idea of eating food that has been prepared outside the home.
A disgusting report involving an Arby’s restaurant is certainly not going to help the industry — though it may say much more about today’s morality than it does about fast food.
An Arby’s night manager in Vancouver, Washington, Stephen Sharp, admitted to police that he relieved himself in the milkshake beverage mix for “sexual gratification,” according to the New York Post.
Sharp was being investigated for child pornography and was arrested on May 10. He confessed to downloading and distributing child pornography and having a sexual interest in minors, the Post said. The manager also told police he urinated in the shake mix — and apparently recorded the sick act on video.
“Officers executed a search warrant and uncovered dozens of photos and videos depicting the sexual exploitation of children as well as the urine video on his digital devices. He downloaded the disturbing content within the proximity of the chain restaurant on at least one occasion, police said,” the newspaper reported. “Investigators are now looking for any unlucky customers who bought and drank the urine-contaminated shakes. Vancouver police asking anyone who purchased a milkshake from the Arby’s located at 221 Northeast 104th Ave. on Oct. 30 or Oct. 31 and has a receipt to contact them.”
Arby’s was promoting the “Jamocha Shake” at the time, billing it as a “colossal blend.”

It does not appear that any other employees at the location were aware of Sharp’s twisted actions.
Sharp was charged with four counts of possession of depictions of minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct, four counts of dealing depictions of minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct and assault.
