At least 37 dead after fire engulfs Mexican migrant facility following reported disturbance

The human toll of the Democratic Party’s wink-and-nod open border pursuits took another major hit Monday night when a massive fire broke out at a migrant processing center on the Mexican side of the US-Mexico border.

At least 37 people died when the National Institute of Migration (INM) in Ciudad Juárez was engulfed in flames, according to the New York Post, which cited local reporting. Another 40 or so were sent to the hospital, some in critical condition.

There were somewhere around 70 migrants — many believed to be from Venezuela — being housed in the center at the time of the fire.

“There has been no confirmation about what may have caused the tragic blaze, but local newspapers reported a disturbance inside the facility before flames broke out,” the Post reported.

The facility is located near the Stanton-Lerdo Bridge, which extends across the Rio Grande river. This is where a large group of migrants attempted to storm their way into the U.S. earlier this month. The migrants were “posing a potential threat to make a mass entry” via the Paso Del Norte International Bridge and physical barriers were put up to restrict their entry, U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman Roger Maier said in a statement at the time.

With the number of illegal immigrants crossing into the U.S. under President Biden at 5.5 million, according to Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, there has been no slowing the human invasion.

For the migrants being enticed to come to America, their plight is nothing short of a humanitarian crisis even if the agenda-driven media does look the other way.

The drug cartels control much of the border area, their military strength being comparable to Mexican government troops. Illegal immigrants must traverse this landscape and some pay with their lives. They die by the hundreds and morgues on the border have been overwhelmed. Women and young girls are frequently raped and often fall prey to human trafficking. Many more fall into debt to the ruthless cartels who charge fees to cross into the U.S., working under slave-like conditions in the U.S. to pay off the debt.

There was also a report earlier this month of a female U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent being violently attacked while detaining the illegal immigrant, sustaining injuries on both her arms and face.

As for the cost to U.S. taxpayers, a recent Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) study showed that illegal immigrants are costing U.S. taxpayers $151 billion a year, which represents a 30% increase in five years.
