The reaction to Israel’s war on the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza has ripped off the mask of the Democrat House caucus to reveal the ugly face of Jew-hatred that has been introduced like a virus by far-left “Squad” members.
One Democrat who is concerned about how antisemitism has infected his party, Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.) stated the obvious that it’s “very difficult” to be a person of Jewish faith in a party that has been consumed by its animosity for Israel, which militant progressives seem to despise even more than they do white people.
Phillips, who just announced a primary challenge to President Joe Biden, appeared on Friday’s edition of HBO’s “Real Time With Bill Maher” where the topic of the party’s troubling direction came up.
He told the host that, “being a Jewish member of Congress in the Democratic Caucus is very difficult right now,” adding there is seemingly a “lack of progressive love when it comes to our doorstep.”
Maher – who is an old-school liberal of the type no longer welcomed in the party – asked the congressman whether the modern Democratic Party is too “race-obsessed?”
“I’ve never walked in the shoes of my black brothers and sisters, my brown brothers and sisters, my Asian American brother[s] and sisters. They’ve never walked in my shoes. I love them all. I do think that it’s problematic, I think that’s why we may not be winning elections that we should be and need to be right now,” Phillips said.
“I think that we have to be more inclusive in the way that we talk about and we’re actually not practicing. And by the way, being a Jewish member of Congress in the Democratic Caucus is very difficult right now, you can imagine,” he added. “And there is seemingly a lack of progressive love when it comes to our doorstep. And it’s problematic. I know I don’t look like someone whose community might need support or affection or protection.”
Maher’s conversation with Phillips aired hours after Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) posted a short video to X, formerly Twitter, in which she promoted the slogan “From the river to the sea” a call for the genocide of Israelis that has been chanted at rallies by those calling for the eradication of the Jewish democracy and its inhabitants.
From the river to the sea is an aspirational call for freedom, human rights, and peaceful coexistence, not death, destruction, or hate. My work and advocacy is always centered in justice and dignity for all people no matter faith or ethnicity.

Not only is the “Hamas caucus” stirring up hate against Israel which has manifested itself in an explosion of bigotry against all Jews, but the Biden regime has taken the position that Islamophobia is the greatest priority right now, showing the priorities of an administration that is not only overtly hostile to whites but also seemingly indifferent to an alarming spike in antisemitism that’s been openly promoted by the likes of Tlaib, Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and their “Squad” cohorts.
Taking on hate is a national priority.
Today, @POTUS and I are announcing the country’s first National Strategy to Counter Islamophobia.
This action is the latest step forward in our work to combat a surge of hate in America. pic.twitter.com/pxZAn7RymY

“We are at risk if we continue to keep fighting each other on any lines — racial lines, economic lines, we got to unify, we got to take care of people,” Phillips said. “I love my Republican brothers and sisters just as much as my Democratic ones.”
