Biden serves up another outright LIE about teaching ‘political theory’ class at elite college

President Joe Biden took another trip in the world of make-believe on Thursday, the second such trip this week for the feeble, 80-year-old president.

Speaking at Prince George’s Community College in Maryland, Biden was rambling about how democracy is ‘under attack’ when he suddenly spurted out that he “used to teach political theory” at the University of Pennsylvania.

“Our democracy is under attack, and we got to fight for it,” the president said. “I taught at the University of Pennsylvania for four years and I used to teach political theory. And folks, you always hear, every generation has to fight for democracy.”

The problem is that Biden never taught a semester-long course at the Ivy League school. He was an honorary professor after his term as vice president expired, serving as the Benjamin Franklin Presidential Professor of the Practice from February 2017 to April 2019.

On Monday, while briefly marking the 22nd anniversary of 9/11 — Biden became the first U.S. president not to mark the day with a memorial or attend ceremonies at one of the three attack sites that fateful day — Biden falsely claimed that he was at Ground Zero the morning after the 9/11 terror attacks in New York City.

“Ground Zero in New York — I remember standing there the next day and looking at the building. I felt like I was looking through the gates of Hell, it looked so devastating because the way you could — from where you could stand,” Biden said during his speech at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska.

The truth is Biden was in Washington, D.C.  on Sept. 12, 2021. The Senate convened that day to condemn the attack, and C-SPAN coverage of the proceedings on September 12, 2001, showed Biden giving a speech on the floor of the Senate. Biden should recall where he was that day because he was the Democratic manager of the joint resolution the upper chamber passed condemning the terrorist attacks.

As for the University of Pennsylvania, Biden appeared on campus about a dozen times after leaving the Obama White House for official events largely limited to Q&A’s and public engagements, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer — one such event with former UK Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg resulted in a $900,000 paycheck for Biden.

The university would also open the DC-based Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in 2018 — the FBI “searched” the office Biden used to maintain at the DC think tank after his lawyer said there was classified material there.
