It would appear that President Joe Biden remains confused about exactly what role Vice President Kamala Harris plays in his administration.
The soon-to-be 80-year-old president was speaking at a White House event to celebrate Diwali, a Hindu religious festival also known as the Festival of Lights when he promoted Harris in yet another verbal gaffe.
“One of the things I admire most about Kamala: She often talks about her mom, like we all talk about our mom, like I talk about my mom, and — and like I’m getting a lot to talk about my mom these days. Moms are always with us, no matter what,” he said. “I know [we’re] celebrating Diwali, but a few year — days ago, it was also Kamala’s birthday. She turned 30.”
“And happy birthday to a great president,” Biden continued, after joking about the 58-year-old vice president’s age. “We know your mom is always with you.”

This is far from the first time Biden has made such a mistake. In December, while delivering the 2021 fall commencement speech for South Carolina State University, Biden referred to Harris as “president”.
In March of this year, he confusingly referred to the vice president as “first lady.” And who can forget when Biden called out for deceased congresswoman Jackie Walorski during the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition and Health in September?
“Jackie are you here? Where’s Jackie? She must not be here,” he said.
Biden himself said during a softball interview over the weekend with MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart that it’s “totally legitimate” for voters to be concerned about his age, falling back on his energy level and passion as a counter. But the gaffes are a constant. During a White House event taped last week, Biden falsely claimed that the student loan forgiveness plan he enacted with an executive order was “passed” by Congress — it was never up for a vote.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Twitter, beginning with conservative talk radio host Clay Travis, who suggested that Democrats “hide” Biden in his beach house:
Joe Biden just wished Kamala Harris a happy birthday and said she’s a great president. I can’t believe I’m giving Democrats advice, but hide him in his beach house. Every time he speaks the red wave gets higher. pic.twitter.com/fyCUwdM20b

I’m tellin ya, they are finally letting him free so it will be a great excuse to step down after midterms.
Probably not but the thought has crossed my mind since they haven’t been reining him in much lately.
