Presumptive Democrat nominee Kamala Harris will be walking on a path of rose petals all the way to the Oval Office if the media gets its way but will they be able to resist an “October surprise” from Bob Woodward?
Buzz is beginning to build over the latest election year book from veteran Washington Post journalist Bob Woodard who has been lionized by the media since his “Watergate” reporting took down President Richard M. Nixon five decades ago.
According to Paul Sperry of RealClearInvestigations, Woodward’s upcoming “War” isn’t going to spare lame duck President Joe Biden and Harris from criticism, citing sources familiar with the contents.
“OCTOBER SURPRISE: A source close to Bob Woodward says his forthcoming book, “War,” about the Biden-Harris administration’s inner workings will “not be kind to Biden or Kamala” and will drop several bombshells on Oct. 15 when Simon & Schuster releases the tome … developing …,” Sperry wrote in a cryptic post to X on Friday.

The book would have been mostly written before a Nancy Pelosi-Barack Obama-led coup deposed Biden and undemocratically installed Harris – who didn’t receive a single vote in the primaries – as the Democrat nominee.
“Biden announced just 2 1/2 weeks ago that he would not seek re-election, leaving Woodward relatively little time to update his book. He has turned in a completed manuscript, but continues to report and may still revise “War” before it goes to the printers,” the Associated Press reported.
“We have the capacity to react quickly if there’s a new development,” said a spokesperson for the publisher, according to the outlet.
Woodward’s books are typically greeted with much fanfare by the media and it’s fair to wonder if the author will get the usual royal treatment if he is critical of Harris who has been cloaked in a protective forcefield by Democrat activists in newsrooms and television studios.
“Readers are with President Biden and his top advisers in tense conversations with Russian president Vladimir Putin, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky. Readers also see Trump, conducting a shadow presidency and seeking to regain political power,” according to an announcement of the book by the publisher Simon & Schuster.
“With his detailed, inside-the-room reporting, Woodward shows President Biden’s approach to managing the war in Ukraine, the most significant land war in Europe since World War II, and his tortured path to contain the bloody Middle East conflict between Israel and the terrorist group Hamas,” the statement reads.
“For more than 50 years, Woodward has done groundbreaking reporting on every president, starting with Richard Nixon,” said Woodward’s editor and chief executive of Simon & Schuster Jonathan Karp, in a statement to the New York Times.
“His work on the power of the presidency is unrivaled. With ‘War,’ Woodward illustrates the dramatic contrast he sees between Donald Trump and his opponents for the presidency — Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, making this a must-read before heading to the polls,” Karp said.
