U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) expressed concerns about “unusual voting patterns” in her reelection effort, as the firebrand Republican trails Democratic opponent Eileen Laubacher by less than 1%.
Democrats delivered a thorough beatdown across the nation on Tuesday, with plenty of “unusual” outcomes — in the state of Texas, Democrat Gina Hinojosa received more votes in a stunning victory over Republican Gov. Greg Abbott than Kamala Harris received in the 2024 election. In fact, Hinojosa received the highest popular vote total EVER for a Texas gubernatorial candidate.
Boebert campaign attorney Scott Gessler released a statement expressing concerns about the outcome, saying a recount will happen “one way or another.”
“A significant number of votes remain outstanding in the race. We are fighting for every vote and will continue to ensure every legal vote is counted. Since election night, ballot returns have been trending in Congresswoman Boebert’s direction, consistently lowering the margin under one percentage point,” Gessler said.
“We are investigating some very unusual voting patterns and expect this election to head to a recount, one way or another,” he added. “Every legal vote must be counted accurately, fully, and transparently. We will continue to investigate throughout the process to protect the integrity of this election and ensure Coloradans can have complete confidence in the results.”

Laubacher’s lead is well outside the automatic recount threshold, but a campaign can pay for a recount on its own.
Boebert let it be known in an interview with KUSA-TV’s Kyle Clark that regardless of the outcome, she will move forward with life.
“This doesn’t define me. I’m a mom. I’m a granny, and I’m a believer. We’re going to continue moving faith to faith, glory to glory,” she said.
Of course, as social media users noted, the Republican Party had every opportunity to ensure election integrity but chose to do nothing. Meanwhile, Democrats appear to have found the key to successfully manage/manipulate election outcomes.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
They had months, years I should say, to fight for elections integrity, and what did Republicans do? Wait until now when is a little too late? Did they fight for @realtinapeters ? Did Republicans pass the America Save Act? What were they doing all this time? @OfficialCOGOP…

Recounting illegal votes won’t change the count. Need full audit

It needs to be a forensic audit!

Sadly, it’s a waste of time to vote in Colorado. As it’s rigged, illegal vote, dead people vote, dogs vote. What a joke.

@KenPaxtonTX I hope you’re doing the same. Texas needs audits!!! @TXAG
