Rumors of the demise of “woke” leftism have been greatly exaggerated, and while the movement has seemingly gone dormant since President Donald J. Trump took office, it has never really gone away.
Proof that the Democratic Party will double down on perversion the second that they regain power came in the form of both Democrats competing for a New York City House seat pledging their support for federal funding of a “Drag Story Hour” program, according to the New York Post.
In the hotly contested race for the upcoming Democratic primary, incumbent Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) and former city Comptroller Brad Lander both told an LGBTQ Democratic club that they back the use of federal dollars to subsidize the program, which city and state taxpayers have already backstopped to the tune of around $700,000.

The Democrat duo may have other differences, but there is no daylight between the candidates when it comes to ensuring that a program that features men cosplaying as women for the drag queen story hours that critics have insisted are thinly-disguised events to groom kids into the transgender lifestyle will continue on the taxpayers’ dime.
According to the New York Post, Goldman replied to a questionnaire from the Jim Owles LGBT Liberal Democratic Club on whether he had “hosted, funded or otherwise supported” a drag story hour event by stating, “Unfortunately, the Majority does not allow funding from Members of Congress to support LGBTQIA+ programming.”
“However, once we take back the House, I certainly cannot wait to fund programs like Drag Story Hours and other programs,” added Goldman, an heir to the Levi Strauss family fortune who is among the richest members of Congress.
“I would most certainly welcome the chance to host one,” he added.
In his own response to the club, Lander boasted that when he was a member of the city council, he backed drag story hour at branches of the Brooklyn Public Library in his district, the paper reported.
A spokesperson for Lander confirmed to the Post that if he gets elected, he looks forward “to funding affordable housing, health care, child care, USAID, libraries, and lots of arts and culture programs, most certainly including Drag Story Hour.”
According to recent polling, Lander is smoking Goldman, who parlayed his conspiracy mongering and smears of President Donald J. Trump into a congressional seat.
“Drag Story Hour — run by Drag Artists for Expression NYC — partners with 128 public and private schools and more than 90 public libraries throughout the city to have cross-dressing performers read to youngsters, according to its website. The group was formerly called Drag Story Hour NYC,” the Post reported, noting that supporters claim that the program promotes “gender diversity” among the young while discouraging discrimination.
According to the group’s website, it specializes in “storytelling and creative arts for youth and adults.”
“Through fun and fabulous educational experiences, our programs celebrate gender diversity and all forms of difference to build empathy and give kids the confidence to express themselves however they feel comfortable,” the website states.
GOP pollster John McLaughlin, who described the Dem push as “outrageous” and “bizarre,” told the Post, “The vast majority of Americans don’t want taxpayer dollars used to indoctrinate children with gender ideology,” pointing out that while Democrats are eager to side with groomers, the larger electorate views such programs with disgust, especially when they are being forced to pay for them.
