The impact Joe Rogan had on the 2024 presidential election continues to reverberate in the world of politics, with his 3-hour-plus sit down with President-elect Donald J. Trump being seen as a deciding factor in the outcome.
But just as consequential was the decision by Democratic nominee Kamala Harris to not accept an invitation to go on the Joe Rogan Experience, and it was here that long-in-the-tooth Democratic strategist James Carville had plenty to say about the young staffers on Team Kamalot who advised against the opportunity.
“The vice president was thinking about going on Joe Rogan’s show and a lot of the younger progressive staffers pitched to hissy fit,” he said on the Politicon podcast. “Supposedly, the campaign said that that wasn’t the determining factor, but they did.”
“When you put a campaign together and you hire young people to do work, let me tell you exactly what you tell these people what I would tell them,” Carville continued. “Not only am I not interested in your f*cking opinion. I’m not even gonna call you by your name. You’re 23 years old. I don’t really give a sh*t what you think.”
Dem strategist James Carville absolutely obliterates Kamala’s progressive staffers who kept Harris from doing the @joerogan interview: I would tell them, “Not only am I not interested in your f**king opinion, I’m not even gonna call you by your name.”

And the 80-year-old political consultant was just getting warmed up with the expletives as he performed an autopsy on the failed Harris presidential bid.
“And let me tell you another huge error, huge f*cking error. This is when people said campaigns need to reflect progressive values. No, they don’t. No, they don’t,” he said. “Campaigns are authoritarian by their nature. And if I were running a 2028 campaign and I have some little snot-nosed, 23-year-old saying I’m gonna resign if you don’t do this, not only would I fire that motherfucker on the spot, I would find out who hired them, and fire that person on the spot.”
Coming full circle, Carville concluded, “I’m really not interested in your uninformed, stupid jackass opinion as to whether you go on Joe Rogan or not.”
Trump ally Elon Musk weighed in to say Carville, who was a lead strategist in Bill Clinton’s winning 1992 presidential campaign, should sit down with Joe Rogan for an episode on his popular podcast, and others were in agreement.
He’s definitely a character. And him ripping the DEI-loving, woke mind virus lunatics infecting the Dem party would be entertaining, to say the least.

Here’s a quick sampling of other responses to the story, as seen on Musk’s social media platform X:
This is brilliant. And I hope Democrats continue to ignore his advice.

I think this is his job interview for 2028

bad news for James…they started hiring that type of 23 year old a long time ago and those 23 year olds are now the “adults” running the Demmunist Party who hire 23 year olds who remind them of themselves when they were 23.

His statement about not knowing the names of young staffers is consistent with my experience as the youngest intern (age 18) at Reagan-Bush ’84 D.C. headquarters: my boss called me “Dave the Slave,” but other senior staff members just knew me as “Slave.”

I believe it would’ve hurt her more to go on Rogan than not. She would’ve been exposed as the idiot she really is.

Here’s the thing. They were right. I’ve seen her interviewed in a controlled environment. A 3 hours open questions interview would have been horrible for her. She just wasn’t a great candidate. It’s why she lost the Primary 4 years ago.
