Call it fate, divine intervention, or a miracle, but one Las Vegas man is likely calling it the luckiest moment of his life.
On Sunday, an armed suspect approached the unnamed victim who was reportedly parking in a garage and demanded the man’s property. Video captured the suspect running across the street with the suspect following closely on his heels. It’s then the attempted robber pulled out a firearm and pointed it at the fleeing man. However, in a twist of fate, the gun jammed, rendering it useless.
Once he realized that his one piece of leverage wasn’t going to work, police say the suspect retreated to a vehicle and fled the scene. They are asking the public to help identify the suspect so he can be arrested.

Social media weighed in on the close call: (** Language warning)
I live eight houses away from where this occurred. It is scary, we are all senior citizens here in Sun City. This is why we citizens need to be armed at all times for protection. My gun is always by my side and the Government won’t disarm me. I am a law abiding citizen

Looks like a plastic bag wrapped around his hand. Trying to prevent gun power residue on his firing hand. Victim is beyond lucky that it appears the slide on the pistol got caught on the plastic bag and caused a jam.

I am pretty sure in no time the family will say he’s a “gentle giant” getting ready to attend college and feeding the homeless on the weekends! …too bad the older gentleman was not packing, otherwise it would have been a happy ending!

The victim is lucky to be alive. At that range, we would have likely died.

I agree. The intention was murder. Why cut him some slack for being a complete failure?
