Charles Barkley slams Dems for pushing ‘some of the stupidest sh*t’ he’s ever heard

NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley is not only a strong supporter of voter ID, he let it be known this week that he does not support hard left positions like socialism or open borders.

Explaining that he was an independent who voted mostly with Democrats, Barkley said during an appearance on Chris Cuomo’s podcast this week he was not about to “get on TV and kill my credibility” by agreeing with extremist Democrat voters who are saying “some of the stupidest sh*t I’ve ever heard.”

“Some of these people are out here talking about no ICE, no prisons, using words like socialism. Like no, I don’t believe in that,” Barkley said.

He opined that ICE needs to do a better job with its deportation efforts, before addressing voter ID, saying, “You need to have ID when you go vote!”

While many agree with Barkley’s common sense approach here, don’t go signing him up for MAGA membership anytime soon — he was critical of Trump’s performance as president and told Cuomo that Trump “has made it more acceptable to be racist.”

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
