Chicago Democrat demands recall of Mayor Brandon Johnson over migrant crisis

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has been on the attack against Texas Governor Greg Abbott whom he blames for the city’s migrant crisis, but one Democrat thinks that the problem lies closer to home.

Johnson is facing a growing revolt from Chicagoans who are increasingly frustrated and angry over the inability of local leaders to get a handle on the situation as busloads of illegal aliens are arriving faster than the sanctuary city’s government can process them. Andre Smith, who’s running for the state legislature, sees a recall as necessary to address the problem.

Smith appeared on Fox News where he discussed Chicago residents’ dissatisfaction with the new mayor with the gang on Friday’s edition of “Fox & Friends.”

“There’s no plan,” he said. “They blame it on the current administration and then once that didn’t work they started blaming it on the governor of Texas. You know the governor of Texas didn’t call Chicago a sanctuary city, the mayor called Chicago a sanctuary city.”

“The mayor allowed illegal migrants to come in here and pay them with taxpayer dollars,” he continued. “You know the thing about is our mayor has no plan, now he’s having panic attacks, we need to actually recall the mayor.”

Emphasizing that he’s a Democrat who believes in “shutting and closing the borders,” Smith added. “When I’m out talking to people, residents and voters, they’re frustrated, they’re angry, they feel left out, forgotten about. They feel that the mayor, Brandon Johnson, took their votes and their voice and did not allow them to vote whether they wanted a sanctuary city or not.”

Describing the horrific situation faced by residents, Smith stated, “It’s a disaster and it all falls on the mayor Brandon Johnson. That’s why I’m pushing strongly that we repeal the mayor.”

While he has only been in office for less than a year, Johnson has quickly become one of the more ridiculous Democrat leaders in the country as well as being completely lacking in self-awareness.

A radical left-wing former academic whose lack of governing credentials is astounding for a major city the size of Chicago, Johnson invited further mockery upon himself this week when he joined the calls for an Israeli ceasefire in Gaza.

Johnson’s demand for an end to the shootings on the other side of the world while his own city is more dangerous than many third-world countries, a place where it was actually celebrated that there were ONLY 671 murders last year, was savaged by X users who mocked his tone-deaf foreign virtue signaling.

The unpopular former mayor Lori Lightfoot may have been a complete clown show but Chicagoans have discovered that things can always be worse.
