Chicago mayor creates ICE-free zones, banning agents from certain properties

The mayor of Chicago is pulling a page out of the Democrat playbook in a desperate bid to stick it to the federal government.

President Donald Trump’s immigration law enforcement campaign is not sitting well with Democratic leaders, who have been scrambling to cover for their illegal immigrant citizens. As part of such defense efforts, Democrat Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has signed an executive order establishing “ICE-free zones” as Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents endeavor to do their jobs.

Johnson stated in a press conference that ICE agents using city property to coordinate raids “undermines community trust” and runs counter to the city’s values.

“Today we are signing an executive order aimed at reining in this out-of-control administration,” he said. “The order establishes ICE-free zones. That means that city property and unwilling private businesses will no longer serve as staging grounds for these raids.”

He also slung accusations at the federal agents.

“We have a rogue, reckless group of heavily armed, masked individuals roaming throughout our city that are not accountable to the people of Chicago,” he said.

“If Congress won’t check this administration, then Chicago will,” the mayor added.

If these “ICE-free zones” work as well as Democrat established “gun free zones,” Americans can expect no change to business as usual.
