Few things are more hated by the left than successful black conservatives and that is especially the case when it comes to Clarence Thomas who was slammed by a Georgia Democrat lawmaker during a debate on whether the iconic Supreme Court Justice should be honored with a statue in his home state.
During a Tuesday debate on the tribute to a man who has been an inspiration to generations of young black Americans, State Senator Emanuel Jones expressed his extreme disapproval of the statue which would be displayed at the Georgia Capitol in Atlanta, suggesting that Justice Thomas was a betrayer of his race.
In his remarks opposing the statue, Sen. Jones referred to the iconic jurist as an “Uncle Tom” which is the preferred epithet for blacks who refuse to reside on the Democratic Party plantation, and accused Thomas of having “sold his soul to the slave master” in a nasty, racially charged rant.
“When we talk about a person of color that goes back historically, the days of slavery and that person betray in his own community, we have a term in the black community,” Jones said. “That term that we use is called Uncle Tom.'”

“And Uncle Tom is a either fictional or nonfictional character, I don’t really know the origin of Uncle Tom, but it talks about a person who back during the days of slavery sold his soul to the slave masters,” he added, admitting ignorance over where the term originated, the 1852 anti-slavery novel “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” by Harriet Beecher Stowe.
Over the years, the term has been weaponized against people of color who refuse to wear the chains of mental slavery that Democrats have effectively used to maintain control over the critical demographic that is integral to their political power, it has often been hurled at Justice Thomas, a man who had to face actual racial discrimination during the Jim Crow era.
One of those labeling Thomas as an Uncle Tom was Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) who chaired the now defunct House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol and who, during a 2014 New Nation of Islam radio appearance, invoked the slur while also stating that “it’s almost to the point saying this man doesn’t like black people, he doesn’t like being black.”
“In the same breath that he says he doesn’t know the origin of ‘Uncle Tom,’ he uses it to describe Clarence Thomas for having the audacity to have his own beliefs,” tweeted Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) of Jones’ remarks. “This language has no place in America, and certainly has no place on a Senate floor.”

Other Twitter users ripped Sen. Jones for his disgusting use of the smear.
This Georgia legislator is so dumb, he doesn't even know the source of the slur "Uncle Tom." But he knows that he abominates Clarence Thomas, who rose from desperate poverty to extraordinary eminence. Because Thomas is a conservative, this fool thinks he deserves to be smeared. pic.twitter.com/NWLN1MOjGP

Calling a black person an Uncle Tom is just as offensive as calling them the n-word.

Clarence Thomas was raised by a single mom and became a Supreme Court Justice. His life has been remarkable, and for Democrats to try to smear him is disgusting.
If Clarence Thomas was a liberal, every city across the country would have a statue of him. https://t.co/oWUzTXh5Gn

A black senator calling Justice Clarence Thomas an "Uncle Tom" while praising George Floyd as a martyr is a perfect example of the twisted and destructive mentality of the thug culture prevalent in black communities.

George Floyd can have statues and you won’t utter a word about that, but Clarence Thomas is an achiever that has superseded race, and you idiotically called him an Uncle Tom in front of your colleagues. Thank you for confirming what I already thought about you. #GAPol

Despite Sen. Jones’ histrionics, the vote to approve the statue honoring Thomas was approved along party lines by a tally of 32-20 with the debate now moving to the Peach State’s House on enshrining the native of Pin Point, Georgia which is located near Savannah.
