CNN grovels after being attacked by enraged activists over ‘misgendering’ of Dylan Mulvaney

In the never-ending effort to be politically correct and appease the Left, CNN anchor Kate Bolduan apologized on Wednesday after a segment on Bud Light where a correspondent evidently “misgendered” transgender influencer and biological male Dylan Mulvaney.

Transgender activists seized on the perceived slight Tuesday, blasting the segment that aired on “CNN News Central.” Reporter Ryan Young was covering the ongoing fallout from Bud Light crawling into bed with Mulvaney when he called the transgender a “he” instead of a “she,” which is considered an unforgivable sin by the Left. It happened twice.

The misgendering of Mulvaney seems to have caused a meltdown at CNN. They rushed to bend the knee and grovel for forgiveness from the LGBTQ community.

The next day, Bolduan made a parting comment on “CNN News Central” during her sign-off, stating, “Yesterday in a segment about transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, who was featured in Bud Light’s recent campaign, she was mistakenly referred to by the wrong pronoun. And CNN aims to honor individuals’ ways of identifying themselves and we apologize for that error.”

Mulvaney, of course, goes by “she/they” pronouns according to the transgender’s Instagram page.

Young was covering the response by various people on the streets of Nashville, Tennessee, and Chicago, Illinois, concerning the boycott against Bud Light that was sparked by an ad campaign featuring Mulvaney in April.

“One bar was telling us they’re not going to serve [Bud Light] because they don’t like the way Dylan Mulvaney was treated after this whole controversy started. He, of course, is the transgender person they were gonna sponsor and go along with Bud Light. They didn’t like how Bud Light didn’t stand by him after all this,” Young commented during his report, referring to Mulvaney.

Mulvaney has been playing the victim incessantly after costing the beer company billions. The transgender denounced Bud Light after failing to sufficiently support ‘her.’ The activist claims she is being unfairly persecuted and recently took a vacation in Peru to escape the notoriety that has been generated.

The leftist icon told fans in a TikTok video, “The people here are so kind. I feel very safe here. It’s a little sad that I had to leave my country to feel safe, but that will get better eventually.”

Leftists on Twitter threw a fit over the misgendering of Mulvaney.

Media Matters journalist Ari Drennan was highly offended, tweeting, “Unbelievably bad CNN segment
-fails to interrogate where the Bud Light boycott came from
-launders perspectives of people who think their grandchildren will be harmed by the knowledge that trans people exist
-misgenders Dylan Mulvaney
This segment could’ve run on Fox News!”

“God damn, that sucked,” wrote Media Matters research director Craig Harrington.

Transgender activist Erin Reed blasted the slip-up, entreating CNN, “Please god, CNN. Bring trans people on to talk about trans news. This was a terrible segment, it misgenders Dylan the entire time and tries to both sides the idea of a transgender person even appearing in an ad. Horrific.”

Liberal influencer Tim Peacock accused CNN of “hate speech,” “The one where @CNN (via @Ryanyoungnews & @KateBolduan) demonstrates it can’t be fair/impartial in reporting when using hate speech top [sic] describe #DylanMulvaney. It just goes to show what they really think of #LGBTQIA people.”

CNN caved and apologized after massive backlash. But they did so as almost an afterthought which will probably not placate the Left.
