Convicted pedophile sets up shop across from elementary school, posts ‘Free fentanyl 4 new users’ sign

The shame and horror of San Francisco’s ongoing homeless and drug crises reached a shocking new level of insanity after a convicted child molester pitched his tent across the street from a Catholic elementary school and hung signs that read, “Free fentanyl 4 new users” and “Meth for stolen items.”

It seems that San Francisco police can do nothing to stop Adam Moore, 46, who has been homeless in Fog City for 26 years. Thanks to the city’s progressive policies, for more than two years, he’s been able to call a street near the Stella Maris Academy his home.

Making matters even more monstrous, Moore is listed on the Megan’s Law website for committing “lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14.”

Moore’s offer of free drugs across from where little kids gather for school caught the attention of a KGO-TV reporter who, on Thursday, asked him if he was serious.

“Were you giving away fentanyl?” investigative “I-Team” reporter Dan Noyes asked Moore. “Was that just a joke?”

“No,” Moore replied, “it’s not a joke.”

Moore explained that he passes out blankets and supplies to people and “they feel bad if they don’t reciprocate.”

“So they bring me trash that they’ve scavenged, things that they think are valuable, or they give me some of the drugs that they have, which I don’t do,” he said.

He’s just passing those drugs on to those who want them, he stated.

“You’re exposing grade school kids to this?” Noyes asked. “This is not right. You know that?”

“No, no,” Moore answered, “it’s shallow.”

“I only live by two rules: be kind to others and make it look easy for children,” he said.

Moore said he was wrongly convicted of pedophilia.

“I was innocent of all of the charges that I’ve been accused of, convicted of,” he insisted.

Moore isn’t considered by San Francisco to be a “high risk” offender, Noyes reports, “so he does not have to follow the rule to stay 2,000 feet away from any school.”

The police recently attempted an undercover sting on Moore, but according to the Richmond District police captain, he didn’t have any drugs on him at the time.

As for Moore’s makeshift residence across from the school, SFPD Captain Chris Canning said, “I was told that he is in compliance with all the components of what his sex registration are.”

Under new city guidance, however, Canning said officers are allowed to enforce rules against camping on sidewalks.

As Noyes was interviewing Moore, he was offered shelter. He declined, declaring, “I will never voluntarily incarcerate myself.”

“More officers arrived, along with a homeless outreach team from Healthy Streets Operations Center,” according to Noyes. “They took away bikes and other items that Moore willingly gave up, allowed him to keep an electric bike and other personal items.”

Outraged residents hope Moore leaves the area.

“I’m also concerned my wife walks our baby around by herself,” said neighbor Jon Chintanaroad. “I always kind of want to be there because you never know. And it just sucks to always kind of have that sense of like, extra vigilance. In a neighborhood that’s supposed to be quiet and residential, right?”

On the day of Noyes’ interview, a parent from the school reportedly punched Moore in the face. Moore received a ticket for misdemeanor battery. He is now suing the father who clocked him.

Speaking to KION-TV, Moore took a more sinister tone when asked if he had drugs in his tent.

“Yeah, this is actually happening but only because I’m tired,” he said. “If you guys want to flush the whole world down the toilet, if you guys want to ignore people like me, it’s at your own peril.”
