Dana White left Howie Mandel’s jaw on the floor when he got up and left during a podcast after the host showered him with praise.
The UFC president abruptly left before his interview segment ever really started.
Mandel’s podcast also had comedian Ginger Billy on, as well as the host’s daughter Jackelyn Shultz. The weird and totally unexpected departure by White left the audience and the host gobsmacked.
Mandel, who a judge on America’s Got Talent, lavished fawning praise on White for his accomplishments in the business world of mixed martial arts, telling him he was jealous. His response was evidently not what Mandel had anticipated.

“Dana White, you are an amazing guy. I can’t thank you enough for being here. … You are not only an amazing businessman, you are an inspiration, you are a philosopher, the way you do business, the way you conduct your business, and your friendships and media, I’m jealous. I can’t thank you enough for being here,” Mandel told White.
White cordially thanked Mandel for his words and then let loose in the same breath, venting his frustration with podcasts. It came out of the blue and Mandel, in no way, deserved the attack.
“Thank you all for the kind words, I appreciate it,” White told an unsuspecting Mandel. “I am so f*cking tired of doing podcasts, I’m literally done with them. I’m not doing any more podcasts.”
As he made the inappropriate comment, White took off his headset, stood up, and walked out of the studio, allegedly with no explanation.
Mandel is a professional. He appeared to be shocked by the incident but recovered very quickly and carried on with his interview with Ginger Billy. White’s actions were not mentioned further on the podcast.
There has evidently been no comment from either Mandel or White on social media or to the press. Outlets such as PennLive are speculating it was a preplanned stunt but many have their doubts about that given the awkwardness that followed the walkout.
Some people speculate that this was a “stunt” so more people watch Mandel’s podcast.
