Tens of thousands of truckers and 1.4 million people are reportedly en route to the Canadian capital of Ottawa to protest vaccine mandates that threaten to exacerbate the supply chain crisis, yet according to far-left Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, this large group of dissidents is nothing but a “fringe minority.”
“The small fringe minority of people who are on their way to Ottawa who are holding unacceptable views that they are expressing do not represent the views of Canadians who have been there for each other, who know of that following the science and stepping up to protect each other is the best way to continue to ensure our freedoms, our rights, our values, as a country,” the PM said Wednesday.
The black-face-wearing Canadian leader added that those who are choosing to “do the right thing” by blindly submitting to his vaccine mandates are the ones protecting “the freedoms and the rights of Canadians to get back to the things we love to do.”

You couldn’t find someone more out of touch with reality than @JustinTrudeau. Millions of Canadians standing in solidarity with hundreds of thousands of truckers standing on guard for thee, but to our PM, we are a “fringe minority” with “unacceptable views”. #cdnpoli pic.twitter.com/lCvDj9D7aF

The facts on the ground appear to debunk his entire narrative.
Over at the Toronto Sun, columnist Joe Warmington speculated on Wednesday that the Freedom Convoy, as the large group of dissidents are calling themselves, may wind up being the biggest convoy in world history.
“According to Guinness World Records, the longest truck convoy ever recorded was 7.5 km long, in Egypt in 2020. The Freedom Convoy heading from British Columbia to Ottawa is said to be considerably longer,” he wrote.
He cited a claim made by the convoy’s spokesperson, Benjamin Dichter, who said that when he saw it from above while aboard an airplane, it measured at least 70 km long, which comes out to roughly 43 miles.
And indeed, photos and videos shared to Twitter of a gigantic convoy containing trucks, cars and even horse buggies seem to bolster this claim:
CANADA – Truckers against medical discrimination. This convoy is now heading to Ottawa and is 70km long,

American truck drivers have been joining the convoy because Trudeau’s vaccine mandates are poised to exacerbate the supply chain crisis here as well.
According to Insider, the mandates “require US truckers to present proof of vaccination in order to cross the border, while Canadian truckers without a vaccine passport are required to quarantine and take a COVID-19 test when they reenter from the US.”
Speaking on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” late Tuesday, former Canadian ice hockey champ Theoren Fleury also provided confirmation of the convoy’s non-“fringe” size.
“Right now in Canada, we have one of the biggest revolutions happening. And you probably haven’t heard about it, because nobody’s talking about it,” he said.
“But right now there’s 50,000 truckers and about 1.4 million people headed to the Parliament in Ottawa. And they’re going to stay there until Trudeau resigns, or they give us back all of our freedoms and rights.”

Over on Facebook meanwhile, the Freedom Convoy released an official statement late Wednesday documenting their demands.
“The time has come to remind our politicians that they work for the Canadian people, and not the other way around. … The supply chain has been in a shambles for well over a year due to teh various provincial governments in Canada imposing draconian and illiberal restrictions on business activity and the entire Canadian economy,” the statement reads.
“As soon as our list of demands have been met, and the government reopens the country and abandons these digital passports and mandates the way the United Kingdom has just done, we will do our absolute best to ensure the supply chain returns to its normal operations as quickly as possible.”

The group also boasts a GoFundMe page.
“To our Fellow Canadians, the time for political over reach is over. Our current government is implementing rules and mandates that are destroying the foundation of our businesses, industries and livelihoods. Canadians have been integral to the fabric of humanity in many ways that have shaped the planet,” the fundraiser reads.
“We are a peaceful country that has helped protect nations across the globe from tyrannical governments who oppressed their people, and now it seems it is happening here. We are taking our fight to the doorsteps of our Federal Government and demanding that they cease all mandates against its people. Small businesses are being destroyed, homes are being destroyed, and people are being mistreated and denied fundamental necessities to survive.”
As of Thursday morning, nearly $6 million had already been raised, though according to reports, the money had been frozen by GoFundMe, which is notorious for its policies that favor leftists (even criminal ones) and penalize dissidents.
