A Democrat candidate has fessed up that she drank alcohol before an anti-MAGA rant that went viral on social media last week.
Jaime West, who’s running for a seat on the Fayette County Council in Indiana, went off during a televised forum aired on LocalTV3 in Connersville, bumbling through the bizarre interview that ended with an ominous warning to President Donald J. Trump’s base: “We have guns too.”
The Indiana Democrat also said that she would fire “all Republicans” and declared that “I don’t even like them” during the dumpster fire chat with Connersville News-Examiner managing editor Amy Graham-McCarty that had some social media users wondering if she was intoxicated.

It turns out they may have been right- just take it straight from the horse’s mouth.
Catapulted out of obscurity by the viral reaction to her MAGA-hating rant, West appeared on Monday’s edition of “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” where she admitted that she was sucking down the beers before her television appearance, explaining that she had imbibed the alcoholic beverage to take the edge off her nerves.
“I had three beers, okay!”

“A lot of people, I’m gonna be completely straight with you, a lot of people assumed you might’ve had a drink before you did that interview. Did you?” Morgan asked.
“I had a Coors Light,” West answered. “I had a beer.
“One beer or…” the skeptical Morgan followed up, getting the candidate to admit that she had quaffed multiple drinks.
“Maybe a couple,” she said.
“How many beers did you have?” Morgan persisted.
“I was nervous, OK,” she responded, blaming MAGA for the butterflies in her stomach. “I was going in a room with full Republicans.”
Not buying that she only had a beer or two, the host continued to grill her over the number of beers she consumed before sitting down for the forum.
“Look, we’ve all had a drink when we’re nervous, but just to be clear– Jaime, here’s your chance to be completely honest and transparent,” Morgan asked. “How many beers did you have?”
West responded, “Alright, three.”
“Three beers,” the host shot back, with the Democrat confirming that she had “three beers.”
Morgan then asked her if she “may have been a little intoxicated.”
West insisted that she wasn’t “that intoxicated” but knows Indiana politics.
During the infamous “three beer” interview, West claimed that she has been threatened by MAGA Republicans.
“I’ve been threatened so many times to my face by MAGA, we’ll call ’em. Because there’s Republicans who actually get it, you know,” she told Graham-McCarty.
“There are good Republicans out there. But then there are these MAGAs, who are just racist and aren’t very intelligent at all. They call you names….you know, the sheriff’s nephew threatened to blow my head off. But, you know, what are you going to do?” West asked.
When asked about her final message to voters, West ended the interview by declaring, “We have guns too,” punching her ticket to social media stardom for all the wrong reasons.
West is running against Republican candidate Gary Keener Jr., with local voters having their say in two weeks.
