Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) once again showed her adopted country how she really feels and some think that it could be time to ship her back to where she came from, including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
The virulently anti-Israel Democrat was the subject of a viral social media video in which the Somali-born lawmaker gave a recent speech to her Minneapolis constituents in her native tongue in which she seemed to indicate that the interests of the African country are her foremost concern as a member of Congress.
Omar says “the US government will only do what Somalians in the US tell them to do. They must do what we want and nothing else. They must follow our orders and that is how we will safeguard the interest of Somalia,” the video clip which was shared by the Sunshine State Republican who had a very simple three-step solution.
“Expel from Congress, denaturalize and deport!” DeSantis wrote on X, the platform previously known as Twitter.

“The US is a country where one of your daughters is in Congress to represent your interest,” Omar said. “For as long as I am in the US Congress, Somalia will never be in danger, its waters will not be stolen by Ethiopia or others … Sleep in comfort, knowing I am here to protect the interests of Somalia from inside the US system.”
X users reacted positively to DeSantis’s call for bold action to deal with the America-hating ingrate.
This is the way.
I’d love to see other politicians calling for the same thing.
This is America, not Somalia. If she wants to put Somalian interests first then she can go back to Somalia and do it from there.— Leftism (@LeftismForU) January 30, 2024
This needs to happen. Allegiance to the United States while in congress is and should be absolute. Omar is anti-American and needs to go. https://t.co/49CS8pzU7z

Good start, but ALL Somalians in the USA who are colonizing our nation must be deported too! https://t.co/dI7OAOJjzT

Governor, it would be prudent to also launch an investigation into how far Somalia has been able to influence official United States foreign policy by utilising Ilham as an agent?

As a Minnesotan.
I approve this message.

Others didn’t go so far as to call for Omar to be given the heave-ho from the United States but agreed that she doesn’t belong in Congress.
“Ilhan Omar’s appalling, Somalia-first comments are a slap in the face to the Minnesotans she was elected to serve and a direct violation of her oath of office. She should resign in disgrace,” said GOP House Whip Rep. Tom Emmer (D-MN), Omar’s fellow Minnesota lawmaker.

Omar and her Jew-hating cohorts on the “Jihad Squad” have come under fire for their attacks on Israel since the Jewish democracy was attacked by members of the Hamas terror organization in the October 7, 2023 sneak attack on civilian areas in which over a thousand people were slaughtered, many in shockingly barbaric fashion.
“Terrorist sympathizer Ilhan Omar in her own words: Somalian first. Muslim second. She never mentions America,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) wrote on X. “She flaunts using her position as congresswoman to protect Somalia’s border while our border is invaded by MILLIONS of illegals who are a danger to America.”
“These people hate America and they’re so emboldened by the Democrats’ disdain for our country, they’re not even trying to hide it anymore,” she added.
“It’s not only slanted but completely off, but I wouldn’t expect more from these propagandists,” Omar said of the translation of the speech as she once again finds herself in the center of a firestorm of her own making.
