Following the initial reports of former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s (R) niece getting removed from a Thanksgiving flight, the basis for her violent behavior may have been explained in a police report that detailed “white foam coming from the sides of her mouth.”
Shannon Epstein, the 25-year-old niece to Christie, found herself in trouble with the law early on Thanksgiving Day when her Spirit Airlines flight from New Orleans to New Jersey had to return to its gate for her to be escorted off. As previously reported, her increasingly irate interactions with a Latino family that included questions on whether they were “smuggling cocaine” led to members of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office allegedly being battered by the young woman who punched, kicked, and bit them when she was instructed to deboard the plane.
According to the official report obtained by the New York Post, Epstein’s behavior was described as being consistent with someone who had consumed alcohol and drugs suggesting she may have been drunk and high when she was kicked off the flight.
As detailed, “I heard Epstein berate Deputy Ducos and the two agents,” the reporting officer wrote and explained, “Epstein refused to follow their direction to exit the jetway.”

“Epstein screamed: ‘Are you serious? Do you know who I am? I’m related to some very powerful people and I need to get back on that plane to New Jersey,'” she was reported as saying before later adding, “Do you know who I am? I’m Chris Christie’s daughter and you’re so f*cked. You will lose your job over this sh*t. I know Donald Trump.”
When officers attempted to restrain the former governor’s niece with handcuffs, the report explained that she “broke free” and “was belligerent and displayed unusual strength.” All the while, she “slurred her words” and “had white foam coming from the sides of her mouth.”
“Epstein punched me, kicked me, spit in my face, and twisted as she attempted to free herself from my grip,” the reporting officer described before she was said to have launched into a tirade.
“By this time tomorrow, you will both be in jail. What the f*ck did I do? I’m a lesbian. Is that it? That’s what this is all about? You want to put your d*ck in my mouth, don’t you? You’re so f*cked, you a**hole,” she supposedly railed before officers tackled her to the floor to subdue her, leading to one getting bit on the left bicep severely enough that Epstein evidently “tore the skin away.”
“Do you guys think I have cocaine in my p*ssy?” she reportedly asked after affirming to officers that she was “very aware” of what was happening, only to go on screaming for several minutes.
“Wow, you guys like Chris Christie? He’s f*cking friends with f*cking Donald Trump,” her alleged ranting continued.
Following charges that included six counts of battery on a police officer, three counts of disturbing the peace, one of resisting arrest by force, and one of remaining after forbidden, Epstein posted bail of $10,750, was released from Jefferson Parish Correction Center the same day and is expected to appear in court on Jan. 23.
Neither Christie nor Epstein have responded to requests for comment from The Post.
