Disney-owned ABC slammed for ‘sickening’ spin covering family fleeing Texas over so-called ‘anti-LGBTQ’ laws

The once self-governing Disney unleashed its own Pravda in the culture war as their media arm ABC News released a “sickening” propaganda piece glamorizing parents who could be found guilty of abusing their gender-confused child.

Leaning into the transgender narrative of “genocide,” the outlet oversimplified the banning of genital mutilation and chemical castration procedures in red states as “anti-LGBTQ legislation” as it featured the story of a young boy “fleeing” Texas.

“When she was 3, one day, she told me, ‘I’m a girl person,'” a woman told ABC News about her now seven-year-old son who was said to have asked on National Daughters Day, “‘Can I be your daughter?’ — which made me cry.”

“Her family is not alone. Across the country, advocacy groups say some families are packing up and moving out of their home states that have implemented anti-LGBTQ legislation to get to a place with greater protections for the community, according to queer advocacy groups nationwide,” ABC News reported using wholly biased sources to promote an agenda under the guise of news.

The outlet made no effort to skirt around newer laws in Texas put into place to protect children, and instead treated the family as refugees on the run from totalitarians and wrote using a pseudonym for the young boy, “Susan and her husband Brian, who asked that their last names not be used for safety reasons, decided the family need to move out of Texas in light of the child abuse investigation threats. They say they weren’t sure how far the government would go to separate families like their own or affect Elsa’s access to care as she gets older.”

Legislative efforts in the Lone Star State cracking down on irreversible procedures being performed on kids as well as hyper-sexualized performance in front of minors have aligned with similar actions in Florida where Gov. Ron DeSantis has been locked in an ideological battle with the House of Mouse and corporate media since enacting the Parental Rights in Education bill, mischaracterizing it as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

DeSantis, a presidential candidate seeking the Republican nomination, recently scratched another victory when pro-Disney U.S. District Judge Mark E. Walker assigned the company’s lawsuit against the governor had recused himself.

Speaking with Fox News Digital, Bryan Griffin, press secretary for DeSantis, said, “Governor DeSantis has led the way in protecting children from harmful mutilation in the name of radical gender ideology.”

“No leader in America has done more on this issue. It is illegal in Florida to perform sex changes on children or give them chemical hormone or puberty blocker treatments for gender dysphoria. No matter if he has to fight the Biden Administration, deep-pocketed advocacy groups, or woke corporations, Governor DeSantis will always stand up for families and children in the face of the left’s gender ideology onslaught,” he added.

Likewise, Curtis Houck of the Media Research Center told the outlet, “It’s sickening. This is a purposeful attempt by Disney-owned ABC to groom children who have any number of concerns with school as well as feelings, thoughts or hobbies that can change in an instant. The liberal media have generally made zero attempt to present a counterargument because doing anything except encouraging young kids to change teams is treated as some cardinal sin.”

They were not alone in voicing their distaste with the corporate media outlet using a confused child to push an agenda as social media users called foul on the piece that also told of a supposed “non-binary” child in Missouri.

Radio host Jason Rantz added to Fox News Digital, “There’s no such thing as a transgender 3-year-old unless the child is being told how to think and why they should think a certain way. There is not even the understanding of the concept of being transgender or even one’s own sexuality at that age. A boy wanting to wear a dress is learned behavior, but also not indicative of any specific gender identity. We rightly acknowledge they have no worldview to determine what their adult profession would be as a child; yet we’re pretending they understand the nuances of gender identity?”
