DNC sues Trump admin over tax-payer funded border ads: ‘political propaganda’

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) sued President Donald Trump and his administration over the use of taxpayer-funded ads to help Republicans ahead of the midterms.

The lawsuit was filed in federal court on Wednesday, where the DNC accused the Trump administration of continuing to air ads at “government expense” after the president reportedly vowed on Monday to use super PAC and MAGA Inc. funds to pay for the ads, Politico reported.

“With less than 30 days remaining before the midterm election and millions of public dollars apportioned to pay for propaganda ads still unspent, the DNC has no choice but to take action in defense of free and fair elections,” the complaint reads.

“Donald Trump doesn’t get to turn the federal government into his personal campaign operation, and he sure as hell doesn’t get to make taxpayers foot the bill,” DNC chair Ken Martin railed on X. “Using public dollars for partisan propaganda isn’t governing. It’s an abuse of power.”

“The DNC alleges that the Office of Management and Budget shifted $20 million in Customs and Border Protection funds for the campaign, which began airing in late September,” and that they are being used for “propaganda,” Politico reported.

“They can’t beat him, so they sue!” Ryan Fournier said about the DNC’s move on X:
