Doocy ruffles prickly Jean-Pierre’s feathers with EPIC question on Biden’s ‘robust’ hurricane response

Reporter Pete Doocy has a knack for getting under the skin of President Joe Biden and his staffers and he seems to take particular delight in bedeviling narcissistic White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

On Wednesday, the Fox News bulldog did it again, drawing a prickly reaction from Biden’s top spox during a daily press briefing hours after Hurricane Idalia slammed into Florida’s west coast, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake and once again, putting the administration under the microscope for its response to a natural disaster.

After FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell opened the session with an update on the powerful Category 3 hurricane as well as ongoing efforts in Maui where wildfires incinerated the scenic seaside town of Lahaina, Jean-Pierre took over and was blindsided by Doocy’s epic question, a not thinly veiled shot at her boss.

“It seems like the hurricane response so far is robust. Did you guys realize that the initial Hawaii wildfire response was not that good, or is it just easier for people to get help from the White House when the president is not on vacation?” Doocy asked.

Taken aback, Jean-Pierre responded, “So, the premise of your question and the way you pose the question I disagree, just for the record.”

“So, if you talk to, if you were to do your reporting and speak to the governor of Hawaii, the senators of Hawaii, the folks on the ground, they would say that the president reacted in record time when he came to dealing with the wildfires when it came to dealing and making sure they got everything they need on the federal level, to deal with what was going on there,” she huffed.

Biden’s spox added, “So, your question is… is wrong, it’s flawed in many many ways and I would… I would, I would advise you to go speak to the governor and the local state officials in.. in a… in Hawaii.”

One of the “folks on the ground” in Maui would disagree with the historic first black lesbian immigrant spinmeister, and she roasted Biden in a viral video that was recently making the rounds on social media.

“I have no money anymore. I think Joe Biden should take his $700 and get back on the f**king plane and go home. That’s what I think,” said a Maui resident who had just lost everything and let it be known that she is no fan of the octogenarian career politician who, when did finally pay a belated visit to the site of the island inferno, likened the experience of the survivors to a small fire in his home kitchen.

Jean-Pierre also faced a question from another reporter on whether Biden plans to go on another beach vacation this weekend while Florida residents are picking through the rubble.

“I don’t have any changes or additions to the president’s travel,” she said without biting the reporter’s head off like she did with Doocy.

Jean-Pierre recently boasted that she was “beyond capable” to be tabbed for the job by Biden.
