‘Emotion HOT at the table’ when ‘know nothing’ Tarlov is schooled on Trump’s NY civil fraud ruling

An accusatory rant against the former president was soundly rebuked by two Fox News hosts for sounding “somehow worse than Geraldo Rivera”

The Monday after Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron ruled former President Donald Trump must pay over $355 million in his New York civil fraud case, the panel on “The Five” got into a heated debate. While token Democrat Jessica Tarlov endeavored to deflect as she recognized “emotion is hot at the table,” it was her claims, and those of the judge, that stoked her co-hosts.

“Where do you get them from? Where do you get that from?” asked Jeanine Pirro after the Democratic strategist had pushed the notion that the president’s business had three separate accounting books.

“Engoron?!” Pirro went on incredulously. “He is a lunatic. This is a judge that decides cases based on emotion.”

“I think emotion is hot at the table, and it is not emanating from me,” contended Tarlov as she set herself up for ACT for America founder Brigitte Gabriel to slam her as, “worse than Geraldo Rivera, Fox News has gone WAY left!”

“So, since Donald Trump ran the first time, he has been making this argument, ‘If they could do this to me, they could do this to you.’ The average person is not inflating their wealth by $800 million to $2.2 billion. They’re not sexually assaulting women,” the Fox News co-host went on to level accusations against Trump. “They’re not storing classified documents in the toilet. They’re not fomenting an insurrection.”

The dialogue that had built off investor Kevin O’Leary, widely known as Mr. Wonderful, declaring he “would never invest in New York now,” and that he wasn’t alone after the ruling, continued with co-host Greg Gutfeld bringing the ruling against Trump down to a relatable level.

Asserting what the president’s business had done was no different than aggressive negotiation for a pay increase after a contract expired, he argued, “There is no fraud here. Which is why you’re bringing up other stuff.”

“No, it’s not. I started with that and then I said actually it’s a pattern,” she attempted to defend before Jesse Watters was given the last word on the subject.

“I was gonna say, you obviously, with respect, Jessica, know nothing about real estate, real estate valuations, real estate development, or the IRS or getting loans from big banks to develop skylines in New York City,” the primetime host began. “Donald Trump did more for New York City than a thousand Letitia James’ has done.”

“And if you look at this history of this case, she’s gone after now [former New York Gov. Andrew] Cuomo, Donald Trump, the NRA, the NYPD and she’s done nothing on street crime, nothing on real white collar crime,” Watters continued. “And then her phony friend [Manhattan District Attorney] Alvin Bragg, if you’re just trying to defend yourself working at a bodega or on the subway, he goes after you.”

“That’s why 160 businesses have left New York. That’s why almost a million New Yorkers have left. This is an unsafe climate if you have a particular political opinion,” he suggested before turning on President Joe Biden and alleged criminal bribery of the Biden family.
