ESPN ripped for Megan Rapinoe coverage: ‘This isn’t sports, it’s left wing propaganda’

Megan Rapinoe apologists crawled out of the woodwork after she capped off her career by sending the U.S. woman’s soccer team home from the World Cup competition when she completely missed the net on a wide-open penalty kick with the match on the line.

The left-wing activist’s fingerprints were all over the national humiliation of the worst performance for the USWNT in history with her failure to deliver in the clutch as well as her poisoning of the locker room, but you won’t know it from the accolades that flowed from the White House to ESPN which aired a glowing tribute to Rapinoe that drew the ire of Clay Travis.

The Outkick founder and co-host of the nationally syndicated “Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show” tore into what was once America’s foremost sports network over its “left-wing propaganda” after the 38-year-old, turquoise-haired lesbian’s epic “choke job” on the world stage.

“Megan Rapinoe airmailed her penalty kick & the US women’s soccer team had their worst World Cup performance ever. Here’s how @espn covered Rapinoe and the US women’s choke job. This isn’t sports, it’s left wing propaganda,” Travis wrote on Twitter/X.

“After a scoreless game, the US women were just eliminated in penalty kicks by Sweden. They scored one goal in their final three World Cup matches. Absolute disaster of a performance. Worse than the men,” Travis previously wrote of the disastrous performance of Rapinoe and her team.

“The descent of the US women’s soccer team from a 2015 World Cup champion that the entire country loved to a far left wing politics-laden team that barely made the top 16 eight years later is an unmitigated disaster,” he added. “Time to clean house and focus on soccer again. (Or let dudes pretending to be women take the women’s spots like Megan Rapinoe wants. Then we will really kick ass.)”

In addition to the ESPN lovefest, Rapinoe and the team got a participation trophy from President Joe Biden.

Travis appeared on Monday’s edition of “The Megyn Kelly Show” where he discussed Rapinoe the caustic effect that she’s had on the team.

“I couldn’t care less about the loss. Couldn’t care less,” said Kelly, who previously torched Rapinoe for “poisoning” the team with her toxic attitude and expressed her hope that the team would lose.

“I hope that they took a lesson from losing that we all want our kids to learn when things go down. Which is, be introspective. Figure out how it happened. And in this case, they didn’t have their eye on the ball. They had their eye on their woke activism, which has been this way for a while,” she added.“But Megan Rapinoe and her imprint on the team has now really made its mark. And I’m thrilled she’s gone. I feel like there’s a future now for this team potentially without this woman at the helm,” Kelly said in reference to the U.S. National team.

Travis then noted that the women’s soccer team became “woke” and polarizing around the time that former President Donald J. Trump was elected.

“From that point forward, they allowed, I think, the woke instincts of Megan Rapinoe to direct every decision they made. They became polarizing. They became, frankly, quite unlikable. And ultimately, that led to and I think this is important, the single worst performance by the US women’s World Cup team ever,” he said.

“And yet Joe Biden puts out a tweet praising them, talking about how beloved they are and how proud of them he was. And to me, Megyn, when you look at Rapinoe in the way that she shanked that penalty kick, it went to the far right, ironically, but a reaction where she’s smiling and kind of laughing. To me, it epitomized the way that the U.S. women played this entire World Cup. They were awful,” Travis added.
