Senate Minority Leader Chucker Schumer (D-NY) attempted to sound tough against President Donald Trump but succeeded only in becoming the butt of jokes and criticism.
The Democrat went viral earlier this week after he tried to own Trump in a video message that even got “The Daily Show” to roast him. His comments on negotiations with Iran were a resounding failure, and he followed up his losing streak later in the week with a stunt calling Trump’s budget bill the “Well, We Are All Going to Die Act.”
“When it comes to negotiating with the terrorist government of Iran, Trump’s all over the lot,” Schumer said in the video he posted.
What Schumer is saying here about any side deals with Iran needing to come before Congress is practically verbatim from the GOP talking points a couple of years ago under Biden. https://t.co/ATw3IWAb5T

“One day he sounds tough, the next day he’s backing off. And now, all of a sudden, we find out that Witkoff and Rubio are negotiating a secret side deal with Iran. What kind of bull is this? They’re gonna sound tough in public and then have a side deal that lets Iran get away with everything? That’s outrageous,” he continued.
“We need to make that side deal public. Any side deal should be before Congress, and most importantly, the American people. If TACO Trump is already folding, the American public should know about it. No side deals,” the Democrat said, referring to the left’s acronym “Trump Always Chickens Out.”
Among the wave of criticism that followed on social media, “The Daily Show” posted a portion of Schumer’s remarks with the caption, “When your message is connecting with your audience.” The clip followed with the “Star Wars” theme song, and a string of negative feedback, made to look like credits.

The social media responses to Schumer’s tough talk were brutal. But the Democrat leader wasn’t done making himself the target of anger and mockery. He unveiled his new name for the “big, beautiful bill” on Wednesday, appearing at a press conference with a sign that read “Well, We’re All Going to Die Act.”
“The more you look at the bill, at the House bill, the worse it gets,” Schumer said, standing alongside Senators Maggie Hassan (D-NH) and Ron Wyden (D-OR).
The new name was meant as a jab at Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) and her recent comments at a town hall in Butler, Iowa. Instead, Schumer was roasted all over again.
“These are NOT serious people,” the White House’s official “Rapid Response” account posted.
“No one should ever – ever – take these people seriously ever again ever,” CNN contributor Scott Jennings wrote on X as he shared a clip.

This is the guy that caused most of our problems. 4 years of Biden and Schumer backed him 100%. Now this? Chuck you suck.

Doesn’t this act get old?
Everyone was going to die if we repealed net neutrality. Passing a Georgia law that expanded voter access was going to bring back segregation. Passing tax cuts will kill everyone.
Even the emotional value is gone because no one takes it seriously. https://t.co/nZ8fQUt4yI
