Fawning Randi Weingarten tells Jill Biden the president had done more for schools than FDR

Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), is being dragged all over the place for her disgusting idolization of President Biden, ridiculously gushing to the first lady that he has done more for schools than Franklin D. Roosevelt.

The union boss was speaking at a virtual educators appreciation event in DC on Monday when she embarrassed herself without even having a clue that she was doing so.

FDR was a monstrous progressive whom the left adores. He implemented socialist programs such as the National Youth Administration fund for low-income families. They incessantly attempt to compare Biden to him.

“I want to just say for a second what you and what the president has done. I can’t even remember all the mnemonics of all the things that have been done. I’m a history teacher. It is more than any other president since FDR and maybe more than FDR,” she claimed, conveniently forgetting the pandemic lockdowns that arguably cost a whole generation of students academic progress.

Writer James Gordon at the Daily Mail summed up Weingarten’s teachers’ union notorious accomplishments, “On Weingarten’s watch the AFT has pushed back against schools re-opening post-Covid-19, flown in the face of CDC guidelines by foisting mask mandates on school districts and promoted a progressive agenda that includes the tenets of Critical Race Theory turning classrooms into frontlines in an increasingly divisive political and cultural war.”

She was reelected president of the second-largest teacher’s union in the nation earlier this year. Weingarten has staunchly been on the left side of the education debate when it comes to standardized testing, charter schools, and teacher evaluations.

The union leader has been accused of covering up the teaching of Critical Race Theory in classrooms. Both the AFT and the National Education Association (NEA) have endorsed the revisionist 1619 Project for inclusion in school curriculums as well.

She garnered a great deal of attention when she took a stand against Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill, which bans teaching kids in kindergarten through third grade about transgender issues.

“This is propaganda. This is misinformation,” Weingarten asserted during an interview on the Rick Smith podcast. “This is the way in which wars start. This is the way in which hatred starts.”

Weingarten also blamed the right for the fallout after teachers’ unions shut down schools during the pandemic.

“Instead of just doing that, these right-wing ideologues are just trying to create fear and anxiety and anger, exploiting this fear that parents have,” Weingarten told Smith. “They’re using politics, creating intense long-term, harmful, cruel and political ramification.”

She claimed that Gov. Ron DeSantis and the bill would put LGBTQ children “back into the closet” and teach kids that transgender topics are taboo.

Weingarten has also been under fire after the National Center for Education Statistics revealed in November that math scores among third-grade students dropped five points from 2020 to 2022, and reading scores dropped seven, according to the Daily Mail. It’s the largest drop in three decades for reading scores and it’s the first time math scores have dropped since records began in 1969.

Republicans blamed teachers’ unions for the drop in scores after keeping schools closed.

Twitter users mercilessly mocked the union leader for her tone-deaf comments and for spewing propaganda:
