Visitors will be welcomed back to the White House again as First Lady Melania Trump announced that tours will once again be open to the public.
Tours that had been on pause will resume starting Tuesday, Feb. 25, according to the wife of President Donald Trump who said they are “excited” to reopen the doors once again.
“The President and I are excited to reopen the White House to those interested in the extraordinary story of this iconic and beautiful landmark,” Melania Trump said in a press release.

“There is much to learn about the American Presidency, the First Families who have lived here, and our Nation’s rich history from a firsthand experience at the White House,” she added.
“This opportunity is unique among nations around the globe — a tradition we are honored to continue for the hundreds of thousands of visitors who come each year,” the first lady said.
According to the press release from the Office of the First Lady, tours must be requested through a Member of Congress and can be submitted up to three months in advance.

“Tours are self-guided, typically last 45 minutes, and will generally be available from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday as well as 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday through Saturday (excluding Federal holidays or unless otherwise noted),” the press release continues, noting that tour hours may be extended depending on the official White House schedule.
According to the White House, tours “include the public rooms in the East Wing and the Residence, which include the Vermeil Room, the Library, the China Room, the Blue Room, Red Room, Green Room, the State Dining Room, and a view of the White House Kennedy Garden.”
“Secret Service Officers are stationed along the tour route and are available to answer questions about each room’s history, art, furnishings, current uses, and beyond,” the White House notes, listing a page full of answers to ‘Frequently Asked Questions.’
