‘For all we know he was some sort of sex slave’: Son of Paul Pelosi’s alleged attacker defends dad, he’s ‘hardly a right-wing conservative’

David DePape’s son, Nebosvod “Sky” Gonzalez, is explosively claiming that his father is not a danger to anyone, is a progressive leftist, a loner, a peace activist, and for all anyone knows, “some sort of sex slave” to Paul Pelosi.

DePape stands accused of breaking into Paul Pelosi’s San Francisco home and viciously assaulting him with a hammer, cracking his skull in the process and putting former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband in the hospital.

Gonzalez says his father has suffered a traumatic life full of abuse, according to the Daily Mail.

“There is ‘almost no person on this planet that has gone through so much suffering,” he said of his father. “If you look into his eyes, you can see he’s such a sad person. He isn’t a danger to society, I don’t even know if he even attacked Mr. Pelosi. For all that we know he was some sort of sex slave, as Elon Musk pointed out.”

DePape, 42, appeared in court Wednesday and is being charged with a long list of offenses including kidnapping, elder abuse, attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, and threatening family members of a public official. The purported attack took place on October 28 against Paul Pelosi who is 82. DePape is also facing federal charges.

Before DePape made his appearance in court, his son had a lot to say in his defense according to the Daily Mail.

“He often told us he was raised in an abusive home and would be physically abused by his grandparents,” his son, 19, said.

Gonzales claimed that “His grandmother dumped a pot of boiling water on him. A piece of his clothing melted into his flesh and scarred him for life.”

He also asserted that his father was bullied and victimized in school. He didn’t have any friends and was a loner.

The son could not believe what he was hearing when he first learned that his father had been arrested for the attack. He reportedly hadn’t seen his dad in several years after he had a falling out with his mother.

“That’s not the type of person he is. I’m surprised about the whole thing. There is still a lot of info that hasn’t been given to the public. I have no clue what happened or how it happened. There are more questions than answers right now. Do we even know what really happened?” Gonzales asked, according to the Daily Mail.

DePape’s son has a 17-year-old brother named Daniel and an older sister named Inti who is DePape’s stepdaughter. They reportedly live in a run-down home in Berkeley, California, and grew up poor. Their mother, Oxane “Gypsy” Taub, who is said to be mentally unstable as well, gave the children the last name of Gonzalez to honor a Mexican family who saved her life a number of years ago.

Taub is currently locked up at the California Institution for Women in Chino, California, for the attempted abduction of a 14-year-old boy. She will be eligible for parole in January. She claims that DePape is mentally ill.

She stated that DePape disappeared for a year in the mid-2010s, according to ABC30.

“He came back in very bad shape. He thought he was Jesus. He was constantly paranoid, thinking people were after him,” she recounted. “And it took a good year or two to get back to, you know, being halfway normal.”

“When I met him, he was only 20 years old and he didn’t have any experience in politics, and he was very much in alignment with my views and I’ve always been very progressive. I absolutely admire Nancy Pelosi,” Taub added.

It’s obvious that Gonzalez loves his father and has fond memories of his childhood.

“He tried to be the best father he could be. He tried his best to make us happy,” the son claimed.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Gonzalez has not been allowed to see his father since he was arrested.

As far as politics goes, he is not buying what the media and the left are selling on the attack.

“My father had a lot of political views and told me about a lot of different things, but he didn’t subscribe to either political party, Democrat or Republican,” he remarked. He went on to say that DePape said the two parties “are just covers and colors.”

“What matters are the policies of each individual person. Each individual person is unique, and it isn’t about right or left. That’s just a distraction,” DePape allegedly said.

Gonzalez believes his father was a member of the Green Party.

“My father had progressive views. He believed in human rights, equality, and justice. He was against the war, he was a peace activist, hardly a right-wing conservative, as he has been branded,” he commented.

“We all deserve to know what happened, especially in such a high-profile case. Whatever happens in the future, happens. But no matter what, he is still my father,” Gonzalez said.

He feels bad for Paul Pelosi, stating, “But we don’t know what happened. I don’t know whether or not my father did what he’s been accused of. So far, what we know doesn’t make any sense.”

“I really love my dad and don’t want him to suffer anymore,” Gonzalez sadly noted.
