Fox’s Jesse Watters suggests Trump ‘revenge tour’ could be trouble for GOP in 2028

Fox News host Jesse Watters hinted at the Trump “revenge tour” being problematic for the GOP in 2028, intimating Democrats could have a better shot at the White House after a second term for the former president.

Greg Gutfeld, his “The Five” co-host, astutely suggested that Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) could be waiting in the wings to assume the nomination for the Democrats in 2024 if Biden is forced out of the race.

“Jesse… I’m pretty sure you could see Gavin Newsom’s grinning teeth from the International Space Station,” Gutfeld joked.

“Because of the whitening?” Watters laughingly replied.

“No, because Biden…” Gutfeld started and then Watters interjected.

He was very skeptical that Newsom would jump into the race, “He might not jump and I’ll tell you why. I don’t know if he wants to leapfrog a black female VP, and might keep his powder dry until 2028.”

“Remember, if Trump wins, it’s only one term,” Watters asserted on Thursday’s episode of the show. “And, let’s be honest; if Trump wins, the revenge tour — it’s going to be tough for a Republican to win after that.”

Many, many Republicans would staunchly disagree with the assessment that the GOP is in deep trouble come 2028 after the Left’s inflicted damage on the nation as a whole.

“So, I’m not sure he’s jumping in. And I’m also not sure Biden’s going down. He’s definitely heading down, but not going down without a fight. This is Joe Biden we’re talking about, the stubbornest man in Washington, DC. It’s going to get ugly,” he predicted.

“So, [Special Counsel David] Weiss is his pocket boy. He’s still protecting Hunter. I don’t think he’s going to serve a day in jail on the guns. I think they’re just going to drag it out. It’s a charge not connected to the president, and they don’t often prosecute this because it’s really hard to prove. Most people don’t confess to being on drugs and buying guns. Only Hunter is dumb enough to pull that off,” Watters continued.

That’s a sentiment that many Americans agree with. No one really believes that Hunter Biden will ever serve a day in jail for anything.

“You’re right, though,” he stated. “Now everyone says it’s OK to talk about Joe Biden. But they don’t know what to say. Because in the Democratic Party, you have to say the same thing as everybody else. When you don’t say the same thing as everybody else, you get ostracized.”

“So everyone is kind of feeling around in the dark… but is it okay if we talk about Kamala? Is it alright if we mention Joe Biden’s age? And it’s fun to watch ’cause usually they’re so militantly disciplined in their messaging, this is… they’re spazzing. And it’s very entertaining,” Watters asserted.

Then he turned to the money trail that leads to the Bidens and the hiding of dirty funds offshore.

“The bank records are where it’s gonna be,” he stated referring to the alleged corruption surrounding President Biden and his family. “They’re gonna go after Hunter’s and Joe’s. But the offshore is where the action is.”

“You can move money from an offshore account to an offshore account… IRS has no clue. Comer’s not gonna know. Not even the IRS whistleblowers are going to find it. So you gotta find the offshore,” Watters concluded.

Watters’ co-hosts bandied about the possibility of Biden bowing out of the race due to his age. They also discussed the president’s option of pardoning his son Hunter Biden who was just indicted on three federal gun charges.
