Fully vaccinated and boosted Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tests positive for COVID-19

After accusing Republicans of trying to date her and mocking critics who called her out for living it up maskless in Florida, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez announced she tested positive for COVID-19.

In a statement released from her office on Sunday, the New York Democrat was “experiencing symptoms” and recovering from the virus at home.

The news came after Ocasio-Cortez was called out on social media following pictures and video of her were released showing her without a mask in a crowded Miami bar. The triple-vaccinated congresswoman had taken to Twitter to lash out at those who criticized her hypocrisy, calling her out for partying it up in Florida while her constituents in New York endured coronavirus mandates and locks-downs.

“Representative Ocasio-Cortez has received a positive test result for COVID-19,” her office said in a statement released Sunday night.

“She is experiencing symptoms and recovering at home,” the statement continued.

“The congresswoman received her booster shot this fall and encourages everyone to get their booster and follow all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance”.

Twitter users roundly criticized the far-left congresswoman:
