Garland claiming Iran is out to kill ‘former high gov’t officials’ raises eyebrows AND red flags

Attorney General Merrick Garland’s admission that Iran is out to get former President Donald Trump hasn’t been well-received.

“Our intelligence community has made clear that we believe that the Iranians are attempting to kill or injure former high government officials,” he said while speaking this week on MSNBC.

The problem is critics don’t quite believe him. In fact, a large number of voices on the right think the Iran story is a deflection designed to distract from the Biden regime’s own alleged complicity.

“Understand why the Biden-Harris regime is rolling this out: they are pre-emptively trying to lay the blame for the next violent attack on Trump on someone other than the regime,” prominent conservative commentator Sean Davis tweeted Wednesday.

“Iran didn’t try to bankrupt Trump, or throw him off the ballot, or put him in prison, or allow a sniper to take an uncontested shot at Trump. Our government did that. Never forget that,” he added.

Responding to Davis’ tweet, many expressed agreement.

Why would so many people be so doubtful of their own government’s intentions? Because their own government missed every single opportunity to stop would-be Trump assassin Thomas Crooks.

As a result, Trump nearly lost his life while speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, July 13th.

According to a Secret Service whistleblower who spoke with Sen. Josh Hawley, the agency skipped otherwise normal steps it would usually take to secure an event like a presidential campaign rally.

“According to one whistleblower, the night before the rally, U.S. Secret Service repeatedly denied offers from a local law enforcement partner to utilize drone technology to secure the rally,” Hawley wrote in a recent letter to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

“This means that the technology was both available to USSS and able to be deployed to secure the site. Secret Service said no,” he added.

Meanwhile, in separate but related news, a Secret Service counter-sniper has warned that the agency “SHOULD expect another assassination attempt” on Trump before the November election, according to Susan Crabtree of RealClearPolitics.

“This agency NEEDS to change,” the sniper wrote in an email to the agency’s entire Uniformed Divison. “If not now, WHEN? The NEXT assassination in 30 days?”

“Sadly we have fallen short for YEARS. We just look good doing it. I have conveyed these thoughts to not only supervisors (to include the current Captain of CS, but those responsible for training us (SOTS/CS). Only to be brushed off as those with less experience somehow knew more than me,” he added.
