‘Get ready…’: Backstabbing Bolton warns of North Korea-style dictatorship if Trump wins

John Bolton is only too happy to help Democrats advance the dictator-in-the-waiting narrative should Donald Trump be elected President for a second time.

Having already declared in January that his former boss is “unfit” for office, Bolton shared a 20-second hot mic video of then-President Trump speaking with Fox News host Steve Doocy in 2018 about North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

“He’s the head of a country, and I mean he’s the strong head. Don’t let anyone think anything different. He speaks and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same,” Trump says in the clip.

“Donald Trump wants Americans to treat him like North Koreans treat Kim Jung Un.  Get ready…..,” tweeted Bolton, who served as Trump’s National Security Advisor

What Bolton doesn’t share is that later that same day, Trump explained to reporters at the White House that he was being facetious.

“I was kidding,” he said. “You don’t understand sarcasm.”

In the forward to his new memoir, The Room Where it Happened, which was released in January, Bolton wrote: “Trump is unfit to be president. If his first four years were bad, a second four will be worse.”

Given Bolton’s war-mongering, neo-con reputation among many social media users, his condemnation of Trump may prove to be a good thing. Never mind that, at one point, the former president saw fit to hire Bolton.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
