‘Stop being so trashy!’ Pirro lambasts Leticia James, offers Trump team her legal wisdom

Fox News host Jeanine Pirro lambasted New York Attorney General Letitia James for being so “trashy” in her zeal to harm Donald Trump.

Pirro was addressing Trump’s attorneys stating in a court filing Monday that “a bond in the judgment’s full amount is ‘a practical impossibility,’” after having approached 30 companies to back the bond — the former president was hit with a staggering $464 million fine in the civil fraud case brought by James, who campaigned on the promise to get Trump.

Trump’s lawyers wrote, “The amount of the judgment, with interest, exceeds $464 million, and very few bonding companies will consider a bond of anything approaching that magnitude.”

“Let me say one thing, no private company has ever been faced with this kind of money that they had to put up in order to appeal,” Pirro said on The Five. “Everybody understand, this is just so he can appeal. If he doesn’t come up with half a billion dollars in cash, he can’t appeal the case which, on Eighth Amendment grounds of the Constitution, is an excessive fine by anyone’s analysis.”

“And finally, the thing — and I heard this today — is maybe it’s time for him to go to federal court on this Eighth Amendment claim so that he gets some kind of repose or something that gives him the chance to hold on for a minute,” she added.

Turning her attention to James, Pirro did not hold back.

“And by the way, her drooling, I look at 40 Wall Street, every day… that is beneath the office of attorney general. Stop being so trashy in the way you approach this defendant and in the way that you approach the resolution of this,” she concluded.

The latter remark refers to James saying she is prepared to seize the former president’s assets if he is unable to find the cash to cover the fine.
