‘Get the f**k off!’ Chicago man violently beaten in broad daylight as crime grips city

As crime spirals out of control in Chicago, attacks are getting more brazen and violent with many occurring in broad daylight.

A sickening video has surfaced showing a white man walking down an alley with his backpack slung over his shoulder while eating pizza. He walked past his two future attackers before the muggers, both black, jumped him from behind as he strolled down a Bucktown alley just before 3 p.m. on Monday afternoon.

They viciously beat the man as one attacker threw him against the chain-link fence while the victim tried to fight them off. He screamed at them to “Get the f*** of me!” to no avail. The man did not give up without a fight as he wrestled one of the men to the ground.

They didn’t stop kicking and beating him until they got the backpack and his cell phone yelling at him, “Just let it go!” They then left him on the ground, battered from the attack.

So far, the media has been mum on the attack. One wonders if the attackers had been white and the victim black if that would still be the case.

A witness sitting in their car across the street told CBS Chicago that she blared her horn repeatedly hoping to chase the thugs off but it didn’t work.

After the muggers left, the woman went to the victim and stayed with him until the authorities arrived on the scene. He was a very lucky man and seems to have only suffered bruising in the attack. One well-placed blow or kick could have cost him his life.

Police say no arrests have been made following the attack.

According to the Daily Mail, a person on social media claims that he has walked down that alley “for years.”

“This was my alley for several years. This is not about being poor and desperate. This is savagery and needs to be handled as such,” the individual wrote.

“Disturbing as hell. Could be me. Violent crime is out of control in Chicago. Lawless, these people. Heartless and lawless. No consequences. This poor man was just minding his own business, and his life will never be the same after this kind of attack,” another person commented.

Robberies in the Windy City have jumped almost 100 percent since 2019 in the Bucktown area and are up 53 percent since 2022, according to Chicago Police Department statistics.

Local representative Alderman Scott Waguespack told CWB Chicago that the city’s leftist Mayor Brandon Johnson attended a local community meeting and “has no comprehension of what’s happening here. He had no comprehension and he had no answers.”

The same day the robbery and assault took place in the Bucktown alley, ABC Chicago reported on four other armed robberies across the city in less than three hours. Wallets and cell phones were primarily what was stolen.

Also on that same day, a group of thugs walked into an AT&T store at about 8 p.m. and stole numerous items. Thankfully no one was hurt.

Motor vehicle theft is up 86 percent over just the last year. It’s gone from 42,512 incidents reported in 2022 to 54,983 so far this year, according to the Daily Mail. That’s a jump of 227 percent since 2019.

Murder is also up. It’s risen by 19 percent over the past four years. Robberies for the entire city are up 30 percent.

University students within the city are also reportedly being mugged:

Mayor Johnson has supported the “Defund the Police” movement. He has been blasted for his soft-on-crime approach and pushing a no-bail policy under the SAFE-T Act.

He has also reallocated funds from law enforcement to social services such as housing and education. The leftist mayor believes strongly in taxing the so-called “rich” and local businesses as well.

Johnson’s outlook on crime was highlighted last April when he proclaimed that Chicago should not “demonize” teens holding an inner-city event that turned violent and resulted in numerous minors getting shot.
