‘Here’s what you can expect’: Ex-Navy SEAL Shawn Ryan opens up about BIG Trump interview

Former Navy SEAL and CIA contractor Shawn Ryan with 14 years of service spanning multiple combat operations, posted a video on Saturday plugging what he called the “biggest interview of my career,” while admitting just how nervous he was.

The interview features former President Donald Trump and will air in its entirety on Monday on his top-rated podcast, The Shawn Ryan Show, which is heard and viewed by millions of people.

Ryan served with SEAL Team 2 and SEAL Team 8 deploying to both Iraq and Afghanistan, and took part in clandestine operations across the globe as a CIA contractor. He is passionate about advocating for the veteran community and has little faith in the DC political class.

“Just returned home to my family from Las Vegas, Nevada where I had the honor and privilege to interview the 45th president of the United States President Trump, who’s now running to be number 47,” Ryan said in a video setting up the interview with the 2024 Republican nominee.

“He’s also the most hated man on the planet by the media who always misconstrues anything that he says. They never miss an opportunity to do that,” he explained. “So I went there with one goal in mind and that goal was to offer him a platform where he can talk about the issues at hand without people attacking him and misconstruing what he’s talking about.”

In stating that his team “definitely accomplished the mission,” Ryan shared what was discussed.

“We talk about some of the things that he has said about veterans that the media has put out,” he said. “We talk about the Afghanistan withdrawal and how it would have been different if he was in. We talk about how… sent $175 billion to Ukraine and if that’s going to end. If he’s going to get to have [Ukraine President Volodymyr] Zelenskyy and [Russian President Vladimir] Putin at the table and negotiate some type of a deal so we can spend the next $175 billion on our own infrastructure.”

“We talk about a lot of things. We talk about the power grid, we talk about China, we talk about the race to artificial intelligence and if Elon Musk is gonna have a seat at his cabinet, if he does take the presidency,” Ryan shared.

“We talk about his stance on abortion. We talk about the border. We talk about how he’s going to clean up the military if he gets in. We talk about how he’s going to win the women’s vote,” Ryan said. “We talk about what he believes is the weakest part of his campaign and we end it with, if he gets in there, are we gonna see any consequences for these sick, self-serving, piece of sh*t politicians in Washington.”

On the latter question of accountability in our government, Ryan says people in DC are making millions of dollars negotiating foreign deals with our tax money.

“Probably the most important question of all,” he insisted.

The interview will air Monday at 12:30 p.m., and after suggesting it will be a “big day,” Ryan encouraged listeners who are voting in November, “Go to your buddy’s house who’s not gonna vote and drag their ass off that couch and get them to the polls to vote. That’s how we win this thing.”
