Patrick Mahomes’ wife has cryptic message for any ‘hater’ lashing out over Trump post

A Super Bowl champion’s wife had a terse message for any “hater” after allegedly liking a post that saw her labeled a supporter of former President Donald Trump.

Among the readily recalled pop culture civil wars of recent years, contests between Iron Man and Captain America or Team Edward and Team Jacob come to mind. Now, it appeared the sidelines in Kansas City could be a battleground of electoral politics after quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany Mahomes’ social media activity pit her — against the Swifties.

While no longer showing, the co-owner of the Kansas City Current NWSL team was said to have liked a post on Instagram from Trump that shared the 2024 GOP platform which included objectives like ending inflation, ending the weaponization of government and keeping men out of women’s sports.

After word of the alleged digital thumbs up spread, backlash prompted Mahomes to sound off with a message that began, “I mean honestly…”

“To be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood. There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well,” she asserted.

Highlighted by the account Libs of TikTok, Kansas City radio host Pete Mundo shared the posts with his own caption, “Between @buttkicker7 and @BrittanyLynne, Kansas City is leading the way in pushing back on woke, liberal groupthink in pop culture/sports in 2024! Let’s go!”

After the 2023-2024 season saw fans of Taylor Swift flock to fawning over her support of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce where the pop star and Mahomes were frequently spotted together watching from a luxury box, there appeared to be no room for the possibility of a differing opinion.

Among the vile posts that referred to Mahomes as a “fcking ghoul” and more, the mother was slammed as a “sad example of a white woman with biracial children” as allegations of Trump being a racist and rapist here bandied about.

While she had not directly addressed whether or not she had liked the GOP platform, the allegations that she had followed her husband, refusing once again to offer an endorsement heading toward the presidential election.

During a Time magazine interview in April, the quarterback had said, “I don’t want to pressure anyone to vote for a certain president.”

“I want people to use their voice, whoever they believe in. I want them to do the research,” he went on. “I continue to educate myself.”

The three-time Super Bowl champion also said, “I don’t want to make a quick response to something that takes a lot of education to really learn and make a swaying comment based off that. But I know we have to find a solution of some way to make this stuff stop.”

Meanwhile, Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, who’d stirred his own hornet’s nest for remaining outspoken about his Catholic faith, was publicly making petitions to Republican vice presidential nominee Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance to steer the party toward being more pro-life.

Despite not confirming a political stance one way or the other, for pushing back on her “haters,” Mahomes was lauded on social media by conservatives while blasting the outcry.
