Once again proving how unserious Democrats are, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took a one-sided turn bashing “insider trading” while ignoring the elephant in the room.
Responding to President Donald Trump’s pause on retaliatory tariffs and the stock market reaction, the New York Democrat posted that she had heard “interesting chatter” on the House floor, calling on members to “disclose” any new stock purchases they had made.
“Disclosure deadline is May 15th. We’re about to learn a few things,” she wrote on X. “It’s time to ban insider trading in Congress.”
Any member of Congress who purchased stocks in the last 48 hours should probably disclose that now.
I’ve been hearing some interesting chatter on the floor.
Disclosure deadline is May 15th. We’re about to learn a few things.
It’s time to ban insider trading in Congress. https://t.co/YBKMGbraAu

Evidently, Ocasio-Cortez is as confused about the word “insider” as fellow Democrat, Sen. Adam Schiff, who set off another one of his hoaxes about Trump.

Just like “Schifty” Schiff, AOC’s “insider trading” alarm missed a glaring problem for Democrats.

Donald Trump posted and told everyone to buy. You know “insider trading” is when “insiders” have knowledge that other people don’t have, right?
Like, oh I dunno… NANCY PELOSI?

Social media users school the socialist congresswoman with a stinging vocabulary lesson.
It’s not insider trading when the president announces TO THE WORLD that it’s a good day to buy stocks.

To be fair, he is told everyone to buy. pic.twitter.com/2u1q5ATuLB

It’s been time, but this wasn’t insider trading, this was buying the dip, which is smart. We all knew the dip wouldn’t last forever.
