Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s X account is a master class in what can happen if you have no self-awareness.
President Donald Trump’s changes haven’t been confined to making peace in the Middle East and securing America’s southern border; he’s also been renovating the White House. Demolition began on Monday to make room in the East Wing for a $250 million ballroom, and Clinton made it immediately obvious that she isn’t a huge fan of the change.
Look:
It’s not his house.
It’s your house.
And he’s destroying it. pic.twitter.com/YchFF5U1nO

“It’s not his house. It’s your house. And he’s destroying it,” she wrote in an X post about her displeasure.
Well, if there’s one thing about X users, they’ve got long memories and short fuses. So it didn’t take long for people to start pointing out that the Clinton family didn’t exactly show a whole lot of respect for the White House during their own tenure:
Your husband had sex in the Oval Office. Prolly should sit this one out. https://t.co/PKqqNzaLHM

Yes, between selling nights in the Lincoln bedroom to donors and her husband’s tutelage of the interns in the Oval Office, if anyone treated the WH as sacred it was the Clintons. https://t.co/h3vcDISVv0

So, let’s talk about how this works. Yes, it is our house, the people’s house. But here’s the thing: we don’t live in it. Now. Or ever. Rather, we rent it out to someone for a term of 4 years. Some 77 million of us rented it to Donald Trump. Now, Donald calls us up and… https://t.co/7GJ7SMjhZp

You stole $28,000 of furniture from the White House and had to return it https://t.co/NzL715dVeK

Excuse me. What house have you ever built? Compare that to the amazing housing that President Trump has built in his career.
Obviously, he is qualified, and you are not.
By the way… He is also qualified to be President & you are not.
Thanks for playing, but be better! https://t.co/LflkUuEEmA
