‘I didn’t really believe it at first’ – driver of Trump garbage truck says of historic experience

The man who became a part of history when he drove the garbage truck ridden by former President Donald J. Trump to a rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin shared his story about the amazing day.

In an interview on Thursday’s edition of “The Story” on Fox News, Andrew Brisson who’s the vice president of Michigan-based LoadMaster, a family-owned garbage truck company in the neighboring state, said that he was just sitting down for lunch when his secretary got a phone call asking about driving a truck to Green Bay.

“I didn’t really believe it at first till I picked up the phone and talked to the guy myself. And then, I guess after a little conversation, he knew somebody that I knew within the industry down in the area. I went onto our lot, found a nice-looking garbage truck and hopped in it, and started heading down to Green Bay,” Brisson told anchor Martha MacCallum.

The white truck adorned with an American flag with “Trump” displayed on the side was parked and waiting on the tarmac for the Republican nominee when he arrived at the Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport on Wednesday for his brilliant trolling of Kamala Harris and  Joe Biden who had trashed his supporters as human “garbage” in a Zoom call with a Latino voting group.

Trump, who was wearing an orange vest, then climbed aboard the vehicle, grabbing media attention and keeping Biden’s insulting comments in the news cycle for at least another day.

Brisson told MacCallum that he didn’t get to talk much to Trump because he was taking questions from reporters but that the former president did shake his hand and say hello.

“Once they were all done, I started up the truck. I blew the air horn and then he looked over at me and said can you take me for a ride in this thing. Yeah, I can do that. And you know, l released the park brake, put it in drive, and started moving forward,” he recalled. “I think, like Trump said, we only moved a foot or two and then the Secret Service kind of just started glaring at me and waving their hands and that was the end of the ride.”

Trump’s garbage truck ride may have even outdone his recent stint at a Pennsylvania McDonald’s to mock Kamala over her alleged McJob from her college days. It also completely flipped the script on Harris and the Democrats’ pitiful propaganda campaign that whipped up hysteria over a comic’s bombed joke about Puerto Rico being a “floating island of garbage” at the big Madison Square Garden rally over the weekend.

“The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters,” Biden said, insulting half of the country just like Hillary Clinton did with her infamous “basket of deplorables” comments in 2016.

“Kamala and Joe call all of us, and them, even them, ‘garbage.’ I call you the heart and soul of America. You are the heart and soul, you built our country, you built it,” Trump told supporters in Green Bay. “And by the way I want to thank all our sanitation workers all across America because they work hard, they really do work hard and they do an incredible job, and they don’t get the credit they deserve.”
