‘I fired them all’: Bondi terminates 6 Minnesota prosecutors who won’t support ICE

Several turncoat federal prosecutors who resigned over their opposition to the Trump Department of Justice’s policies have since been outright fired by Attorney General Pam Bondi, meaning no more paid leave.

The New York Times reported on Tuesday that six federal prosecutors working in Minnesota had resigned “over the Justice Department’s push to investigate the widow of a woman killed by an ICE agent and the department’s reluctance to investigate the shooter.”

As previously reported, the woman killed by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, Renee Good, was a known leftist agitator who’d tried to run over said agent before he opened fire on her.

Appearing on Fox News’ “Hannity” late Wednesday, Bondi revealed that she’s since fired all six prosecutors:

“We had six prosecutors who suddenly decided they didn’t want to support the men and women in ICE,” she said. “One of them was busy doing a photo shoot with The New York Times while ICE was out there risking their lives.”

“So they came, they said, we want to resign, but we want to use our annual leave up until April, meaning they wanted the taxpayers to pay for them to go on vacation because they decided they didn’t want to support law enforcement,” she added.

And that’s why she fired them.

“So the breaking news tonight, I fired them all,” Bondi explained. “They’re fired from the office. And our U.S. attorney there, Rosen, he’s great, he was just confirmed three months ago.”

Fox News notes that all five prosecutors “were positioned to receive paid leave for months prior to their firings on Wednesday.” Not anymore!

Included among those fired was Joseph Thompson, who’d reportedly been second in command.

The Times reported that Thompson “strenuously objected” to Bondi’s decision to not investigate Good’s shooting as a civil rights matter. He was also “outraged by the demand to launch a criminal investigation into” Good, despite her clear-cut history as a radical activist.

Thompson was also the one who did a photoshoot with the paper:

Thompson’s resignation inspired an anti-Trump statement from leftist Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

“Joe Thompson is a principled public servant who spent more than a decade achieving justice for Minnesotans,” he said. “This is a huge loss for our state.”

“This is the latest sign that President Trump is pushing nonpartisan career professionals out of the Department of Justice and replacing them with his sycophants,” the Democrat governor added.

However, Thompson, to his credit, did reportedly believe that Good’s shooting was justified.

All this comes after Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said during a recent press conference that Good had been “stalking and impeding” ICE throughout the day she was shot.

Noem added that Good had “weaponized” her car and that the ICE agent who’d shot her had clearly feared for his life.

“When a mob of agitators that were harassing them [ICE] all day began blocking them in, shouting at them and impeding law enforcement operations, ICE officers and agents approached the vehicle of the individual in question [Good], who was blocking the officers in with her vehicle, and she had been stalking and impeding their work all throughout the day,” Noem said in the video above.

“ICE agents repeatedly ordered her to get out of the car and to stop obstructing law enforcement, but she refused to obey their commands. She then proceeded to weaponize her vehicle, and she attempted to run a law enforcement officer over,” she added.
