Ilhan Omar claims Somalis ‘have always’ been part of the ‘fabric of this nation’ amid shocking fraud scandal

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) lashed out after President Donald J. Trump announced that he was ending the protected status of Somalis in Minnesota amid a shocking fraud and money laundering scandal that saw taxpayer dollars funneled back to her homeland and a notorious terror organization.

The Somali-born “Squad” member joined members of the left-wing Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL) at the state capitol in Saint Paul to denounce the president’s halting of the Temporary Protected Status (TPS Program), defending her people, who she said have “always” seen themselves as a part of the “fabric of this nation.”

“Somalis are not terrorizing this nation,” the ethically challenged congresswoman proclaimed from the Capitol rotunda. “We are helping it thrive.”

“Somalis have always seen themselves as a fabric – seen themselves as a fabric of this nation,” Omar said, adding, “So not only are we not going anywhere, we are not going to allow us to feel less Minnesotan or less American.”

“Minnesota, under Governor Waltz, is a hub of fraudulent money laundering activity. I am, as President of the United States, hereby terminating, effective immediately, the Temporary Protected Status (TPS Program) for Somalis in Minnesota. Somali gangs are terrorizing the people of that great State, and BILLIONS of Dollars are missing. Send them back to where they came from. It’s OVER!” Trump wrote in a Friday post to Truth Social that stirred up the natives in Minneapolis, a city that might as well change its name to Little Mogadishu.

“I am a citizen and so are majority of Somalis in America. Good luck celebrating a policy change that really doesn’t have much impact on the Somalis you love to hate. We are here to stay,” Omar defiantly posted in her reaction to Trump’s announcement.

The president’s move comes as dozens of Somalis have been charged in a scheme to pilfer millions of dollars in pandemic relief aid intended to feed hungry kids, with some of the money skimmed being directed to the radical Islamist terrorist group al-Shabab, which is based in Somalia.

“We do not blame the lawlessness of an individual on a whole community,” said Omar, who represents the sizable Somali community that calls Minnesota’s Fifth Congressional District their home.

Earlier this month, Trump suggested that Omar might be happier if she returned to her birthplace. “She should go back,” he wrote in a post to Truth Social after she called Somalia’s leader “our president” at a rally.

Trump also slammed the hijab-wearing bomb-thrower in September.

“Ilhan Omar’s Country of Somalia is plagued by a lack of central Government control, persistent Poverty, Hunger, Resurgent Terrorism, Piracy, decades of Civil War, Corruption, and pervasive Violence. 70% of the population lives in extreme Poverty, and widespread Food Insecurity. Somalia is consistently ranked among the World’s Most Corrupt Countries, including Bribery, Embezzlement, and a Dysfunctional Government,” the leader of the free world wrote on Truth Social.

“All of this, and Ilhan Omar tells us how to run America! P.S. Wasn’t she the one that married her brother in order to gain Citizenship??? What SCUM we have in our Country, telling us what to do, and how to do it,” Trump said.
