Illegal alien known for urging others to squat in US homes linked to Venezuela military intel: report

Turns out, the illegal immigrant who went viral in a video urging others to “invade” American homes and claim “squatters rights” is believed to be a member of Venezuela’s military intelligence unit — or was, before coming to the United States.

Of course, that doesn’t say much for Venezuela’s military intelligence, but the man identified as Leonel Moreno was allegedly a sergeant in the unit, the New York Post reported, citing a federal source.

Moreno became a TikTok sensation after posting the aforementioned video and another clip in which he brags about all the money he was banking from government-provided benefits.

“I didn’t cross the Rio Grande to work like a slave,” Moreno said in the clip shared on Instagram as he waved $100 bills over his head.

After nearly two years of roaming America, Morena was arrested in March in Columbus, Ohio, with ICE explaining that he had been violating the rules of his release in the Border Patrol’s Alternatives To Detention program.

Venezuela is unwilling to confirm any information with U.S. authorities, so it’s difficult to prove the assertions made by a Homeland Security source.

“Knowing who these guys are, we have, like, no access to anything International. Like, we really don’t and it kind of sucks,” a border agent said. “I wanted to get into Border Patrol and protect from terrorists. And it’s like, well, I probably let terrorists in the country.”

Geauga County Sheriff Scott Hildenbrand told the Post that Morena has not drawn any attention to himself in jail.

“I don’t know of any problems that we’ve had with him. He’s in with the rest of the ICE inmates,” said Hildenbrand.

Proving he would fit right in with Democrats, Morena played the victim in a previous interview with the Post.

“I came here to the United States because of persecution in my country … But they’re doing the same thing to me in the United States – persecuting me,” he whined. “It’s all misinformation in the media about me. They’re defaming me. They’re misrepresenting me in the news … I am a good father, a good husband, a good son, a good person, humble, respectful to people who respect me.”

Social media users are skeptical as hell when it comes to the wide open southern border, where millions of illegal immigrants who don’t share our values and have little interest in assimilating have poured into our country under President Biden’s watch — millions of people of which we have no idea who they are.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on the social media platform X:
