‘I’m not going to calm down!’ EPIC meltdown over Trump’s treason attack on Obama

President Donald Trump’s suggestion that former President Barack Obama could be guilty of treason sent a CNN panel into a meltdown.

As the “CNN NewsNight” discussion on Tuesday focused on the fallout of the bombshell documents released by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, the panel devolved into a shouting match as former Clinton White House aide Keith Boykin accused CNN political commentator Brad Todd of dodging the real issue.

“He’s accusing a former president of treason and on top of that saying, ‘It may not be right, but I’m gonna go after them anyway.’ What is he talking about?” host Abby Phillip asked. “And what kind of country are we living in that that is actually what he is doing?”

As Todd addressed Democrats’ accusations of Russian interference in the 2016 election, Phillip interrupted.

“But it’s been eight years since the immediate aftermath of the 2016 election,” she chided.

“Why are we talking about this? This is not the issue. You’re trying to avoid the subject,” Boykin demanded.

“President Obama said that Russia did not manipulate any votes,” Todd responded. “We should note that because every liberal in America said that was the case.”

“You’re doing everything possible not to talk about the fact that the president of the United States, the current president of the United States, just accused a former president of treason and suggested a prosecution of that former president with no evidence! That is the problem!” an agitated Boykin declared, referring to Trump’s Oval Office comments in which he said “it’s not a question” that Obama is guilty.

“You can calm down,” Todd told Boykin. “I don’t think he’s guilty of treason.”

“No, I’m not gonna calm down!” Boykin fired back. “Why don’t you talk about that instead of talking about Obama?”

“Because Obama just undid three years of Democrat mythology,” Todd replied.

“The problem is, this is what Trump does. He distracts everybody,” Boykin argued. “He’s talking about President Obama because he doesn’t wanna talk about Epstein.”
